What happens to passengers who don't have a ticket 👀?

That depends on who finds out you don’t have one.

USUALLY getting kicked off (placed at the next stop) is what happens buuuuttt if someone like UNDYNE finds you, well

You’re getting kicked off (literally) better hope the train isn’t moving !

I heard you were doing an animation or comic?? Is it about the background of undertrack?? I’m so invested!!!

The comic I’m currently working in is a small one from papyrus’s perspective during the evacuation, it will give a bit of context but probably make you guys ask more questions haha here’s a sneak peak ;P

ANYHOWWW for the animations it may range from actual animations to animatics where it can vary from actual story to small tidbits!!

Once I’m done with this comic I will probably start a few more lore ones and a bunch of slice of life and how it is on the train. If asks are directed towards a character I may make a lil comic about that aswell ^^ maybe I’ll do an askblog someday hm,

while I work on that though you can always ask questions here or with @fivebecomesnone (please ask them too guys, they’re doing the heavy lifting in universe building I just draw silly characters tbh)

UNDERTRACK GERSON, he regularly tells the kids onboard stories about his great adventures and his experiences during war (toriel does not approve of the latter) he got injured during the evacuation as it was too crowded and quite last minute as monsters didn’t take the whole “impending doom” very well..

as for the lore part I’m gonna post more about it later and there’s ALOT so to summarise it:

Their universe was collapsing and so they created the train as a last resort to survive, once gathered onto the train they quickly found out that instead of just going to a different universe and restarting life it was actually better to stay moving because they didn’t really wanna settle down. Currently they’re always travelling between universes transporting whoever has a ticket! (There’s a whole system for this)

What were to happen if someone stole a ticket or hitched a ride on the outside of the train?

Stole a ticket: unless you were an identical copy of the person you stole it from, you’d pretty quickly alert the trains Advanced Sensor System (mettaton) and get booted of the train.

Hitched a ride on the outside: You would be swept off instantly and █████ (censored by mettatrain incorporated)

Questions, is there a possibility that there is an "insider" on the train? That is, that someone gets in without a ticket? How long would it take to be discovered?

And how would this work for, so to speak, ghosts? Do they also charge souls?

What about pets? Can things like dogs or bittys get on the train?

1. not unless they were like, invisible. The train is very secure and you will be checked for ticket or pass very thoroughly. Never say never though, maybe someone has some magic powers to fake a ticket or somthn. Unless you’re otherworldly in hiding you’d probably be figured out quite quickly and depending in who finds you the outcomes will differ, policy is to kick off train though.

2. Tickets are sold per body! So people like Fresh, Frisk sharing a body with Chara and a monster that absorbed all the human souls from their au would only need to buy one ticket. Ghosts like Napstablook are the exception to this rule, as they'd need to buy a ticket as well.

Tickets are generally paid for in G, with the exception of one-way passes, which are free of charge. Those are more of a "pay us back if you want to, but there's no obligation" situation.

The only reason G is charged to get onto the train is maintenance and supply costs. The train cannot keep running if it is broken, after all.

3. yeah animals are allowed but may be placed in a specific part of the train because of potential allergies. Bitties would probably go as a passenger as they’re sentient usually.

is mettaton the train? would he just scream advertisements for MTT products over the intercom?

The train is more ajacent to Mettatons box body, the ex version has a hologram version of his body that can wander the train. He can also show his face on the different electronics on board which is how announcements are broadcasted. (And yes some of these announcements are MTT products)

Some things he can do are:

Spawn hands around the train to do things as the hologram cant touch things.

Take over electronics.

Print tickets in his own handwriting.

And a lot more but you’ll have to wait and see for that hehe.

Well as far as they’re aware there are no other trains but if they were to see one, well it depends who’s driving. Some might want to interact in some way while others (undyne mainly) would definitely take it as a challenge

Fights are usually taken care of by the conductors! The main goal is usually separating the battling monsters (or humans!) by force if necessary and ending the fight that way. If there is no other way to break up the battle, there's a little technique that the train staff likes to call the "push 'n run". It's exactly what it sounds like. The offending monsters (or humans) are shoved out of the train and left behind.

The cabins have a panel where you can decide the loudness of the speakers or if you want any sound at all. Usually they’re playing either MTT branded music or any sort of podcast or announcement from mettaton himself.
