Track 09 - Construct 01

For this special day of thanks I want to share with you a very special track created in 2000 that marked the beginning of a new era of production for me. I had just moved to Pelham NY from Brooklyn, and had just spent the better part of 2 years working on an album called "Microcosm'. While regrouping and figuring out where I wanted to travel next musically I created this tune, which both embodied the feel of 'Sunrise' (a cassette release that I will be posting some tracks from later) and the future vibe of 'September'. Inspired by hip hop, and the glitch movement, this track has a magical vibe that still works (in my world).

Using hardware to create the sounds, and software to track and mix the song, it would take another 2 years for me to work the intricies of mixing 'in the box' and fully realized that this vibe and sound would be the template for 'September' and is one of the pillars of my personal sound/vibe.

While never released to the public, this tune will be familiar to those of you who I have privately shared my productions with over the years. Happy Thanksgiving!
