#trackermun ramblings #hello friends :)#i'm alive :O #over the past year or two i have learned some things which have made it viable to do (yet another) rebuild of the app #and more specifically to a) migrate it to a framework i'm using more regularly than the old Csharp code #so that i have the tools and active brainspace more easily to hand to maintain it #and b) make some (i hope) significant user experience improvements #not entirely sure when this will be ready for primetime but it is actively in development now :)#it's been a rough couple years for side project motivation (and time) but i haven't forgotten y'all

How do you use the RPThreadTracker QuickAdd extension on firefox? I downloaded it, but when I go to use it (and to pin it on the toolbar), it is greyed out and can't click on it to access it.

Hello! Sorry for the incredibly delayed reaction on this, and also to the similar ask received from @valebatcattus around the same time; either Tumblr or my spam filter swallowed both notifications and I'm only just seeing them now as I logged in to address the current RPTT outage.

The truth is I have not had a lot of brain space for dev stuff lately so I hadn't been paying too close of attention to the tracker lately. 😭 But I will try to take a look once the site is back up and see why the Firefox extension isn't working anymore. I appreciate both of you letting me know about it!

(On a less urgent note, I’ve noticed that the news display is broken on the site, which I am working on fixing right now as well. 🙃 This app just passed its ninth birthday (holy mackerel) and weird stuff is starting to crop up because the systems it connects with have changed. But I am still here to fix the things! So please let me know if you encounter issues. :) )

Evidently in the last month the number of active users on the tracker approximately doubled. :O First of all, welcome to all the new tracker users and feel free to get in touch with me if you encounter any issues with the site!

Second -- did something happen? Was there a major post about the tracker or something going around? Or is this entirely attributable to Tumblr’s activity page woes? It is doing me a surprise. :O
