I Have a Confession to Make...

You’d never know it because I don’t post about it a lot. My main posts center around my kids and my home life.

BUT I’M SUCH A TRADITIONALIST!!!

I love being feminine, I love wearing dresses, I love bringing my husbands dinner to the table and then cleaning up after him. I love feeling useful and domestic. I love sitting down by his feet while he’s doing something and I read a book.

It fills me with so much happiness to wash and dry all of our clothes. Not so much joy in folding and putting away but we’re working on that. I love going to him with my problems or decisions and letting him take the lead.

I just love it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am ever so thankful this Thanksgiving. My ancestor Sarah Buell Hale fought to make this holiday nationally observed and for that I have much love for this particular holiday.

Today is a day of many things. Peace, love, kindness, and respect. But, most importantly it is a time to reflect on what we love, are kind to, and treasure. It is a time to realize that we be grateful, not only for food, but for the cornucopia of blessings that spill about in our daily lives.  

This is a vintage video about thanksgiving that I watch way before thanksgiving begins or ends because it has so much important ideas embedded within.
