Unprompted Asks - ALWAYS ACCEPTING
The life of a mercenary was often a dirty one, and Cloud was no stranger to blood stains on his clothes, or even the curl of noses in his presence due to several days stink. He was fine with that, even when it was made quite obvious his presence here at the docks was met with a consistent expression of contempt given the light scowl from the woman handing him his days pay.
Monster slaying certainly didn’t have a wage to match the level of work required to keep the pests under control here; it was certainly better than nothing, though it had to be noted that the days catches were far more bountiful without the threat of little creatures snatching at easy prey caught in nets, he should probably ask for more money. Yet the blond accepts the coin dropped into his palm with a gracious - if habitual - nod before turning and heading back towards the residential district of this poky little coastal town.
It was while he traversed the sandy streets that he noticed the little urchin following his every move, if only through his peripherals. Either by habit or design - more like the former - Cloud turns his head to stare back at the kid gazing at him so intently as he passed him by; just a boy curiously eyeing a stranger it seemed, and paying him no particular mind, the blond then turns away, his bright gaze falling back along the path he was taking.
He was used to being stared at, certainly nothing new there.
