motherfuckers r begging for the scar tubbo wilbur and grian team SO hard when the scar tubbo tommy and grian team is RIGHT there. idk if that would work tho because of balancing and tubbo and tommy r not pg family friendly whatsoever but pls. not wilbur. anything but that.

My hot take is that Grian should not be on this team at all, which feels like a longshot bc this is probably going to be his return mcc and I think Scar for sure wants to be on his team again and they do seem to work well enough together in mcc (which was a huge concern for me the first desert duo mcc tbh)

BUT the issue with having Grian on the team is that Grian and Scar are besties therefore you need a very specific fourth player to enable Tubbo the room to get to talk and connect with Scar, Wilbur might theoretically suffice bc he would also be trying to talk to Grian therefore opening up conversation space with Scar but functionally bc it's like a discord call thye'd just be taking up space, instead what would REALLY work better would be a wingman figure whose just there to support Tubbo and that's where your idea of Tommy is really good But fundamentally I think it might be better for the Grian obstacle to be removed.

Or maybe Grian would actually be fantastic and great at encouraging Tubbo and Scar getting to talk because he'd know Tubbo's a fan idk I tend to kinda assume the worst of Grian a lot but idk maybe he would be helpful here.
