Thank you so much to everyone who sent me christmas wishes, specifically ad especially traffles! Sorry bc i totally forgot about my ask box being closed and about the whole secret santa thing entirely but that was a very nice surprise to wake up to this morning! What History Forgot [Closed, Reverum D. Caliber]
How long had they been following the eternal pose? It seemed to take them to a remote part of the Grand Line, no ships in the distance and the islands near by their route had started to thin out.
Kaida had taken to sailing on the Black Lotus with the Star Strider gliding next to it for quite some time now. She was beginning to think that the pose was going to drop them at Impel Down's door step.
Watching the horizon ahead for a sign of what they were looking for she finally spotted an island that looked heavily forested in the distance.
"Land ho!"

With the island and a half drowned marine captain behind her she slumped to the main deck and sighed. Everything hurt, her body felt like it was on fire and she could barely move.
Between hauling herself through the water while trying to keep up her strength, the mad dash away from the horror that was Ryuuko and just sustaining the use of her aura. Kaida wanted a nap, but she had to keep an eye out for any marine patrols that may have been sent after her.
"You were almost not worth it." She held up the bag of money and let it drop to her side. "I need to stop doing dumb things, but at least I'm in the clear."
The universe continued to rain on her parade as a ship could be seen coming up on the starboard side.
'Gods damn it.'
At least it wasn't a marine ship, a jolly roger flew a top the mast snapping in the same wind that guided the Black Lotus along.
