Okay, I didn’t really have to think on this one. Beth Smith is always going to be the first one who comes to mind. She is just the worst.
Taichi and Hikari’s mom from Digimon Adventure 01 and 02. (Fight me, Digimon fans. I’m not taking it back.)
Maggie McKendrick/Elizabeth James from The Parent Trap. Honestly, both parents in both versions are garbage humans who deserve only misery. But we’re just talking the moms here.
Fiona Clearly from The Thorn Birds. (To be fair, I’m not sure if the mini-series adaptation’s Fiona pictured here is book accurate. She is downright awful in the book.)
Of course Miriam Pataki’s on this list.
Maddy Platter. You can all hate Peggy Hill all you want, but this bitch is why Peggy is the way she is.
Leanne Platter. Maddy Platter’s got nothing on this bitch.
Petunia Dursley failed as a mom AND a guardian.
Audrey Bourgeois. The fact that she made me feel bad for Chloe AND Chloe’s dad is an impressive feat.
Gertrude Moon from Frasier. No wonder Daphne left England.
Judy Geller from Friends. Actually, throw in Phoebe’s mom (not her birth mom) and Chandler’s mom while we’re at it. Joey is literally the only one whose mom wasn’t terrible.
Lois Griffin. Adding this one made me sad. I used to like Lois.
“Mom” Turner. I didn’t originally comment with her on TRAFON’s post because way too many other people did (actually, they did with Lois too), but I’ll save you all the trouble of adding her. We all know she’s awful.
