Delicate fingers plucked a cigarette from her son’s hands. She HATED being such a mom, but it just seemed to be second nature to her. It appeared to be almost impossible not to nag Jeremy for his behaviors. Sally cared deeply for the boy, and she just wanted him to be safe. Not that much COULD hurt him anyway, of course. It still hurt to see him inhaling fumes of who knows what. The ragdoll smiled softly as she snuffed out the cigarette, throwing it out.

“Jeremy, you’re not gonna believe this.”

ACTUALLY, he probably would. There weren’t many things Zach could do that his best friend wouldn’t expect from him. Especially something as HARMLESS and MINOR as this was. Crossing his arms and giving him an exasperated expression, it was clear that Zach was just being petty and annoyed. Nothing was in danger, except for maybe his pride.

“So, I was playing around with the radio, right? Now, before you say anything― I picked a crowd pleaser. NO ONE should have been mad at Africa. But y’know what happened? Some ASSHOLE turned it off. So I turned it back on, and then HE TURNED IT BACK OFF. We went on like this for a while until I got so pissed I short-circuited the radio and walked away.” He sighed. “Anyway, how was your day?”

during a study hall, they choose to sit beside the prince. he isn’t on good terms with aeron, but that doesn’t mean that flint has to be cold towards him too. they acknowledge him with a bright smile at first, but then focus on taking out their books and getting settled. however, it’s difficult to keep all their attention on the reading. finally, flint figures they should say something. “hi jeremy!” not a bit of hesitation in their voice. “do you mind me sitting here?”

“JEREMY, BUDDY, HEAR ME OUT.” Ghost gives a pleading smile. “Halloween plans— come hang out for a bit?” He usually wouldn’t ask, but this is the first year after his death and he wants it to be special. If his best friend was there, maybe it’d distract him from that obvious fact. “Maybe like... an hour or two. It could be fun. I heard the vampires are gonna go all out this year, who knows what could happen.” Zach playfully nudges him with his elbow. “It’d probably get your dad off your back for a bit.”
