@tragicstoried. call.
‘ I knew your mother. A fair time ago. ’ He might wonder how someone such as Ella found herself in her current place, perhaps if he had been living in a cave or refusing to speak to another living soul for the last few years. Robin almost laughs at the thought: it is almost satisfying. ‘ I would not tell some of my fellows where it is you come from, however. It is for the best, aye? ’

❝ wicked, swords! ❞ she picks one up --- without asking, of course --- and starts swooshing it around. really, she’s got no idea what she’s doing, but at least ace has held one before...and they’re really cool. ❝ i pulled king arthur’s sword out of a stone, once. almost became king of england, i reckon. didn’t wanna be royal, though. ❞
He heard her soft giggle from beneath the desk as the door to his study closed behind him. It was hard not to smile. He himself had once hid in the very same place. He walked across the room as though there was not a small intruder hidden away though she was not being very quiet. But alas he could not let her think she had gotten away unnoticed forever. He walked around his desk, he crouched down and his daughter was revealed to him. Though his expression was full of nothing but warmth. “I am afraid my little jewel you would not make a very good assassin,” he chuckled as he opened his arms to her. “Though perhaps a better thief you will make for I am most certain your mother put you to bed already. How did you manage to sneak in here without anyone noticing, hm?”

@tragicstoried ( keyleth ) : you’re like, the strongest person i know.
𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐀'𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 , though that bitterness isn’t directed at keyleth in the slightest . she glances down at her hands , finding any way to look away from her brother’s friend that she can manage . “ that is . . . very kind of you to say , ” she allows . she doesn’t feel strong , most days -- any days , really . what strength is there to be found in being broken down by your family’s killers , in surviving overthrowing them because your brother can’t bear to kill you ? is keyleth this nice to everyone ?
“ miss sharma, ” he said, offering a polite bow of greeting. “ what a pleasant surprise. ” as a matter of fact, it was not a surprise to find her in the park -- he’d come with the express purpose of encountering her. anthony was more than aware that he’d been a negligent suitor of late, and if he wished to marry her, further delay would only complicate matters. his jaw tightened at the thought of the particularly infuriating complication who had been the cause of his distraction. well -- it would stop now, he’d told himself firmly. he would pay his attentions to the woman he intended to make his viscountess. and that would be that. it was the only option. he gave her a warm smile and offered his arm. “ would you allow me the honor of escorting you? it’s a fine morning for a walk. ”

❝ keyleth? ❞ it feels like an age since juniper was home, focused on her mission --- and seeing outside zephrah for longer than simple scouting parties --- and the last thing she expected to see is one of her own. the ashari are insular people, after all, so much so that juniper’s something of an oddity any time she sends word of her findings, and for the two of them to be in the same place in tal’dorei is...incredible. she supposes the aramenté is still ongoing, though their neighbour tribes are nowhere near here.
she smiles wide, and though she cannot reach to hug keyleth ( was she always this tall? ), there’s no denying she’s happy to see her. ❝ kaitiakè. i didn’t expect to find another ashari out here. ❞
“Look how much you have grown!” No longer did she have to crouch to be eye level with her niece. Her smile is bright as she takes her nieces hands between her own. “At this rate I will not be surprised if the next time I see you, you will be taller than your father,” She adds with a laugh. Oh that would be quite the sight. She then drew the young girl close, hugging her tightly. “And I have missed you, dearly.”
