i’ve stated this before but i genuinely think diavolo’s a pretty lonely person, he just doesn’t like showing nor telling others that he is. he really doesn’t have his parents around - not that he necessarily needs them with how old he is, but they basically are/were his only family in such a big castle. he’s really only got barbatos, and lucifer as an extension. he’s strapped to his desk a lot, even if the game makes it seem like he ditches work a lot, he really doesn’t and even when he wants to at times, barbatos makes sure he doesn’t and does his work instead. he’s been shown pestering lucifer or mc for company as a result, even if it’s just a quick text of gentle motivation, he’ll thank them and immediately get back to work to not keep them for longer. 

he’s pretty okay?? playing as an idiot and spoiled prince who just likes to cause minor inconveniences and headaches for others, if it just means he gets that extra minute of interaction. he just really likes being around people, because he really isn’t when he’s home. it’s quiet and it’s almost suffocating with how quiet it can be. so he’s really okay with laughing it off when others are a bit bothered with him, maybe apologize if he feels it’s needed, he’s okay with the annoyed huffs and sighs so long as eventually they’re enjoying themselves and he gets that company and interaction. 

he’s a very affection starved sort of person, even if he will always deny being such.

elliot’s always been very influenced by his emotions. he’s a pretty sheltered kid due to the killings of his family and his siblings constantly trying to keep him from the outside world. when he’s hurt, he’s hurt and he’s not the type to really ever let go of anything - even if it’s petty (he constantly picks on oz and his height as an example of just how petty he is). it causes him to not really let anyone speak, nor try to convince him of a different outcome or reasoning. he believes he’s right and really won’t let anyone tell him otherwise - it’s like a classic trait for nightrays: you’re wrong, i’m right and there is no other answer. he doesn’t realize he’s hurting others in the process because of it sometimes. it’s very easy to tear him apart that way honestly because he just refuses to listen sometimes, and sometimes you gotta do it lmao.

         ❛ That’s awfully kind of you. ❜ Those were the first words to pass his lips as he thinks about what types of people who crossed him, certainly no one he’s ever had the intention of sparing such kind thoughts to. Perhaps he prefers GRUDGES. Regardless, he shrugs, he understands where she’s coming from yet can’t share the sentiment. ❛ I would much rather wish the worst upon my enemies but then again.... praying they don’t suffer too much by your hands as a shred of mercy seems nice too. I certainly couldn’t do it. ❜
