The thing about most fights between husband and wife, especially where both were stubborn and sharp-tongued, was that it surely took a lot of effort to tell who was at fault. At least, that felt like the case to John, for he was the only one who eventually raised his voice, as if he should win that way.

But the books had always been right; the wife always won, whether or not they had to have a good comeback.

The books didn’t say anything about the husband needing to go down below the wife though.
