Looking up at Sobo Waterfall, Trinidad
Hi. I'm interested in visiting a waterfall in south Trinidad or one really easily accessible anywhere in Trinidad. May you advise of the easiest route as well... as I'll be taking some kids and elders to experience one and get some pretty photos.
Hi! I don’t know of any waterfalls in south but an easy and very accessible one is Maracas Waterfall (check out that link for more info on it). It’s one route to the falls so its very easy to follow and most of the trail is flat except for one section near the start of the trail. For elders, once they could make it up a flight of stairs, they should be fine but there are rocks on the trail where they will have to be careful as well. At the base of the falls, there are lots of slippery rocks so it may be wise just to let them relax and take in the view from a distance. For the younger ones, they can go under the waterfall which is very pleasant but the water may be a bit cold.
I actually visited there last week with some of my young cousins and they had lots of fun. Let me know if this is a good option otherwise you can probably try some other easy ones like Edith Falls or Rampanalgas Waterfall but they are a bit further away and less spectacular

Distance: 1.10 km, Duration: 14:12, Pace: 0:12:57 min/km
The hike to Rampanalgas Waterfall is a simple stroll but the waterfall and its pool is quite lovely.
