I HAVE A LOT OF LEGENDS ZA THOUGHTS

How do I tell my younger self, whose first video game ever was Pokémon X, about this game? Legends ZA means so much to me and I'm not even the one playing it right now, my best friend is playing it with me. It's been such a blast getting to experience it with them. And they know how much this game means to me. They have to deal with my nostalgic ass constantly pointing things out (especially the music. I freak out when I recognize leitmotifs). It makes me feel so genuinely happy having this first playthrough with them. Even the timing and message is poetic. Legends ZA's first reveal was the day before my Grandpa passed away. Between then and now, I've been struggling to cope with the fact he's gone. He means so much to me and it's not the same without him. Noticing how clear that one of Legends ZA's themes is the acceptance of death as a fate everyone must experience, it feels strangely perfect. Legends ZA Spoilers below

L. The beauty of L. Even though the plan to enact wasn't good, I've always admired Lysandre and his dream for a beautiful world. Despite everything I've gone through, he's been my favourite Pokémon for that fact. I've had so many people call me absurd for that. On the day Legends ZA was revealed, I was in a big discussion with my friends about the game. We didn't know what to expect from Kalos or if it'd be past or future. I brought up the idea of it being in the future and.

I specifically mentioned my hope for Lysandre in Legends ZA. Even down to the hope of him being immortal now. I figured 'It'd be funny' and 'X, what I played, is the only faint possibility he'd be alive due to dialogue differences'. AND IT HAPPENED. MY EXACT WANT HAPPENED. L is exactly what I was hoping for. Him acting as a 'vessel' in a way for Zygarde feels very similar to how the Legends Arceus Protagonist was for Arceus. And he is immortal like I thought he'd be! We haven't gotten far and I haven't seen enough spoilers yet to fully understand the rest of how his character is, but it really makes me feel that Legends ZA is the game of my dreams.
