negative traits to give your characters (so that they're realistic)
they lie (like a lot)
they're possesive of certain things or people
they complain/whine a lot
they're maybe just TOO obsessed with something/someone
they have alcohol/smoking/vaping problems
they're over-dependant on other people
they're indecisive
they hate conflict and avoid it as much as they possibly can
they can't take jokes
they doomscroll
they're lazy and avoid doing simple things like doing laundry or cleaning their room
they talk badly about others - even their friends
changing their personalities to match someone elses
having a crazily high screentime
insisting they're good at something they're actually horrible at
they don't treat all of their friends equally
they bully/are rude to random people for no reason
they support the wrong things (this could be politics, certain opinions, communities, even between personal conflicts in friendgroups)
they do stuff for all the wrong reasons (get drunk for fun/to look cool, hang out in weird/creepy places so that people think they're cool and brave)
they're overly sarcastic
(before anyone takes this personally, these are traits to make your characters feel realistic and not that 'perfect mc who wouldn't dare even look at a cigarette and is always the sweetest angel on planet earth' like let's be deadass. not trying to sound mean, and i will admit that i do have some of these traits myself and there's nothing wrong with that. it just makes you human)
