Progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) doubled down on urging Democrats to reject the House GOP's stopgap funding bill, calling it a "bad idea" and a "mistake" if Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) votes for cloture.
Ocasio-Cortez opposes cloture on the Republican spending bill for several reasons, including that voting for cloture is equivalent to voting for the bill itself, as it would end debate and allow the bill to move forward for a final vote.
Speaking with CNN's Jake Tapper on Thursday, Ocasio-Cortez reiterated her opposition and urged Democrats to join her, even if the government must shut down.j
"Absolutely. And that is why House Democrats laid out a plan — as well as several Senate Democrats laid out a plan — to keep government open for another 30 days as Republicans negotiate a deal with Democrats in order to have an extended government funding bill," she said.
The vote is Friday.
ETA:
The budget resolution that passed the House last month on a party-line vote would cut Medicaid by $880 billion, while food stamp spending would be slashed by $230 billion.
At the same time, the Republican budget package would expand Trump’s 2017 tax cuts through Fiscal Year 2035, which the Congressional Budget Office has estimated will cost $4.5 trillion. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) said previously that legislation was “skewed to the rich, expensive and failed to deliver on its promises.” The CBPP estimated that the richest households would get more than triple the tax cuts that lower and middle-class households would get.

Trump is plummeting in the polls, and the stock market is crashing. We need the shutdown! Given time trump may change his mind and blame the republicans in congress, saying he never supported that budget. But even if it changes nothing, at least we'll have fucking tried! I'm also begging my senators to nominate Chris Murphy as senate minority leader. Please call your democratic senators!
ETA 2: I called my senators, and even called Sen Murphy to thank him, and pleaded with him to run for minority leader. I tried to call Schumer, but his lines aren't even letting people leave messages. 😡
