Only Spanish!! ¡¡VIVA MÉXICO, CABR*NES!! 

El 16 de septiembre en México festejamos el comienzo de la lucha de Independencia 🥳💚🤍❤️. Y, como cada año, hice un dibujo con mi hermosa niña mexicana, Lily Del Valle, usando el hermoso traje típico de Jalisco 💖. Cabe aclarar que el peinado de Lily no es el adecuado, pues debería de llevar el cabello recogido en unas trenzas con moños, pero ese peinado no me gusta y por eso le dejé algo sencillo 😅. No era esto lo que pensaba dibujar para este año, de hecho ni siquiera quería hacer algo para este año, pero pasaron cosas y esto fue lo que salió 😔, un refrito en digital de un dibujo que hice hace tiempo en estilo tradicional.

La pequeña Hope está representando a los Nahuas, el grupo indígena más numeroso en todo México y este traje típico se encuentra en el estado de Puebla. El vestuario femenino se conforma por la faja, la blusa bordada. Y las fajas eran muy importantes porque cada color y diseño representaban las identidades entre otras comunidades. Mientras las blusas tienen hermosos bordados en el pecho y mangas, te queda muy bonito Hope

Little Hope is representing the Nahuas, the largest indigenous group in all of Mexico and this typical costume is found in the state of Puebla. The female costume is made up of the sash, the embroidered blouse. And the sashes were very important because each color and design represented the identities of other communities. While the blouses have beautiful embroidery on the chest and sleeves, Hope looks very pretty on you.

Florita quiere enseñarte el vestido tradicional del Centro de México, el muy bonito traje nahua mestizo! Dice Florita que en la época prehispánica tenían un concepto de asociar la belleza con la naturaleza y especialmente las flores, se elegía a una mujer joven que destacara en belleza de cada pueblo y ella como un ritual tenía que ofrecer flores y ofrendas a la deidad Xochiquetzal, la diosa de la fertilidad y abundancia. Nosotros te elegiríamos a ti Florita, eres un conejito muy bonito!

Florita wants to show you the traditional dress from Central Mexico, the very pretty Nahua mestizo costume! Florita says that in pre-Hispanic times they had a concept of associating beauty with nature and especially flowers. A young woman who stood out in beauty from each town was chosen and as a ritual she had to offer flowers and offerings to the deity Xochiquetzal, the goddess of fertility and abundance. Florita presume su maravilloso vestido totonaco, inspirado en la rica cultura de este antiguo pueblo que habitó Veracruz. Los totonacos fueron uno de los primeros grupos indígenas en contactar con los españoles en 1519, formando una alianza con ellos para liberarse del dominio azteca. Sin embargo, debido a las nuevas leyes impuestas y las enfermedades traídas por los colonizadores, su civilización se debilitó y se fragmentó en varios grupos. Florita lleva una blusa y falda de lana decorada con motivos de árboles de la vida en tonos rojos, complementada con una faja. Hoy en día, el atuendo tradicional ha evolucionado hacia una enagua corta, blusa, medio delantal y pañoleta de seda artificial. Como abrigo típico, las mujeres usan el rebozo, elaborado en algodón para el verano y lana para el invierno.

Florita shows off her wonderful Totonac dress, inspired by the rich culture of this ancient people who inhabited Veracruz. The Totonacs were one of the first indigenous groups to make contact with the Spanish in 1519, forming an alliance with them to free themselves from Aztec rule. However, due to the new laws imposed and the diseases brought by the colonizers, their civilization weakened and fragmented into several groups. Florita wears a wool blouse and skirt decorated with tree of life motifs in red tones, complemented by a sash. Today, the traditional attire has evolved into a short petticoat, blouse, half apron and artificial silk scarf. As a typical coat, women wear the rebozo, made of cotton for summer and wool for winter.

Mayito representa con gran orgullo los vestidos de la gente Rarámuri del estado de Chihuahua. Otra linea de vestidos que salieron por la intervención española de prendar a las mujeres indígenas de la zona. Pero ellas al ser mujeres completamente artesanales decidieron crear sus propios vestidos con los colores y bordados que se han vuelto su símbolo artesanal. Hasta el día de hoy crean y usan vestidos con honor a sus raíces. Mayito pide que apoyemos mucho a nuestras raíces! Mayito proudly represents the dresses of the Rarámuri people of the state of Chihuahua. Another line of dresses that came out of the Spanish intervention to capture the indigenous women of the area. But since they are completely artisanal women, they decided to create their own dresses with the colors and embroidery that have become their artisan symbol. To this day, they create and wear dresses that honor their roots. Mayito asks that we support our roots a lot!

Mayito usa orgullosamente el vestido de Tehuana. Originarios de Tehuantepec Oaxaca. Es un Huipil que se usa cotidianamente de tela satinada, de algodón o terciopelo, que está bordado a mano y lleva una enagua sencilla, en la cabeza se hacen trenzas con listones y flores naturales. Es uno de los vestidos más famosos de México y Mayito al usarlo la llena de mucha confianza.

Mayito proudly wears the Tehuana dress. Originally from Tehuantepec, Oaxaca. It is a Huipil that is worn daily, made of satin, cotton or velvet fabric, which is hand embroidered and has a simple petticoat. On the head braids are made with ribbons and natural flowers. It is one of the most famous dresses in Mexico and Mayito is filled with confidence when wearing it.

Hopesita bebé esta usando un vestido Huichol del estado de Jalisco, su vestido lleva una blusa corta, una falda con cinturón o iwi con una franja bordada, y cubre su cabeza con un quechquemitl, una manta rectangular con abertura. Usa collares de chaquiras y todas sus prendas están bordadas con detalles que narran la mitología de su cultura, la vida de sus antepasados y las historias de sus dioses. Que bonita te ves Hopesita.

Little Hope is wearing a Huichol dress from the state of Jalisco. Her dress has a short blouse, a skirt with a belt or iwi with an embroidered stripe, and she covers her head with a quechquemitl, a rectangular blanket with an opening. She wears beaded necklaces and all her clothes are embroidered with details that narrate the mythology of her culture, the life of her ancestors and the stories of her gods. How pretty you look, Hope.
