“It’s disgusting,” says Alex, folding her arms. “It’s so gross.”

Tracy rolls her eyes, brandishes the razor. “Come on. It’s not like they’re going on your face.”

“Yeah, but they’re going on Ehren’s.” Alex grimaces, taps her acrylics against the trailer’s plastic tabletops. “I know he’s a total dumbass, but I still like him.”

“So do we,” says Tracy persuasively. “That’s why it’s funny.” She picks a spare pube out of the razor’s trap, wonders who it belongs to. “I did it. And you’ve already got special privileges to not be filmed when you shave, so you’d better come out of here with something, or they’re all gonna make fun of you.”

Alex groans. “I like my patch, too,” she whines. “It’ll look all lop-sided whenever I bring a guy home.”

“If the guy cares about that enough to not sleep with you, then he’s a fucking idiot,” says Tracy wisely. “My bush is totally wonky now and I couldn’t care less.”

“Yeah, well, you never fuck any guys,” Alex grumbles.

Tracy refrains from smacking her across the face. Wouldn’t be fair, though, ‘cause Alex just doesn’t know any better.

“All right,” she decides, relying on last resorts. “If you shave, I’ll buy you dinner whenever you want.”

Alex cocks her head to the side, seems to consider this. “Hmm. That all?”

“What more could you want?” Tracy shakes her head incredulously. “All right, name your price. Damn.”

“Dinner,” Alex accepts, and a sly grin creeps across her face. “But also…” And suddenly Tracy’s got this nervous feeling in her guts.

“You have to kiss me,” Alex proclaims.

Tracy blinks. “What.”

Alex leans in, close - holy fuck, what is she doing? Is Tracy an idiot? - and repeats, low, through narrowed eyes, “Kiss me. Then I’ll do it.”

Tracy speaks, her voice uncharacteristically shaky. She really doesn’t like the way she sounds. “Alex, this isn’t funny. Just ‘cause everyone knows I’m a dyke doesn’t mean you can fuck with me like that.”

“I’m not fucking with you.” Alex’s eye are dark, glittering. Tracy has a total lady-boner right now. “I mean, you wouldn’t care about a lop-sided patch, right?”

“No,” says Tracy, throat dry. “No, you bitch, I can’t say I would.”

And Alex kisses her. Not quick, not afraid, or experimenting, or unsure. Certain, like she knows exactly what she’s doing and isn’t afraid of it - the chick will barely agree to do half the stunts she ends up going through with, but she’s not afraid of this. Which is totally insane. This is all insane.

Alex breaks off, wipes the spit from her lips with the back of her hand. Tracy’s tongue darts out - she can taste strawberry-pink lipgloss, sweet and cloying.

Alex smiles. “Pass the razor over here,” she says, and holds out her hand.

“Fuck you,” Tracy seethes, tosses the razor somewhere behind her shoulder, and launches herself forward to absolutely attack Alex’s mouth with her own.

They mack for a while, and it’s super fucking hot. Tracy sort of can’t believe it’s happening, but hey. She ain’t complainin’.

Someone kicks the door open then, and they jump apart, Tracy’s lips still kind of lingering on Alex’s neck.

“Aw, gross, they’re fucking making out in here!” somebody - Dunn? - yells, and then there’s raucous laughter from outside, and Knox pushes himself to the front of the crowd of gnarly dudes at the door to grin and wolf-whistle loudly.

“You already shave, Alex, or were you headed in that direction?” he asks, waggling his eyebrows.

Tracy flips him off; Alex says, “Wouldn’t you like to know, Clapp,” and retrieves the razor from the floor. “Fuck off, all of you.”

“You heard the lady.” Tracy lounges back on the couch cushions, eyes Alex’s soon-to-be-missing jean shorts hungrily. “Fuck off.”

She has to throw a hairbrush at Steve-O to beat him away, but it does the trick.

i'm so glad!! here are some headcanons :)

alex and tracy start to factor into the cast around season 2

tracy went to school with spike jonze, and alex was a friend of one of the show's makeup artists who somehow managed to get coerced into trying stuff out

the first time they meet each other, alex thinks tracy is gross and tracy thinks that alex is a prude

it kind of takes a moment for them to get into the rhythm of things with a friendship

but they get there eventually, don't worry

johnny and a couple of the other guys initially try to stop the girls from doing any stunts that are "too dangerous" for women - so at first alex and tracy are doing more gross-oriented challenges like stephanie and the eggs

they debut on a pickle-juice drinking contest with dave

surprisingly, alex wins even though she'd been the most grossed-out all throughout

the two of them cement themselves as valuable group members pretty quick after that

tracy does a lot of skating and is a fan of big brother/cky

alex can roller skate

tracy ends up doing a skating stunt with bam that leaves her with a broken wrist - some of the guys want her to stop after that but she just laughs it off and is totally fine

"of course people want to see girls get hurt, knoxville, come on. your show's female demographic isn't completely made up of people who want to fuck you, if you haven't realized"

tracy will basically do anything with little to no hesitation; alex is a little more wary

she gets teased a lot by the guys but once she gets started on something (which usually doesn't take too long to convince her) she's just gonna roll with it

tracy is closest with knox, dunn, and ehren

alex is closest with chris, wee man, and (surprisingly) steve-o

and of course, the girls are close with each other

it's sort of an unspoken thing that everyone knows that tracy is a lesbian

she's not exactly trying to hide it but she doesn't "officially" come out for a while, especially not publicly

there is a large fandom following that ships her and knox and another large following that ships alex with chris or steve-o

(has alex had at least one friends with benefits 3some with the wildboyz? probably. maybe she was the one who told them to stop looking at each other instead of at her)

the guys are always quick to defend the gals at parties and MTV events and shit if random dudes/fans cat-call them or say something gross

but usually the girls have got it covered on their own - alex's nails are sharp and tracy's got a wicked right hook

eventually some seedy tabloid gets a photo of tracy hooking up with a woman and blasts the news

but everyone kind of already knew, including most of the fans, so

tracy just kind of takes it on the chin and goes with it

alex and the guys are there to support her every step of the way

she's not in love with alex, no matter what fans think

(she's not)

people assume alex will be or is already in a relationship with one of the guys just because of heteronormativity and shit

she gets asked about it a lot in interviews. like, a lot and she hates it

these guys are honestly like her brothers and it would be so weird

alex guest stars a few times on wildboyz, tracy on viva la bam

and of course, the best possible outcome is that the two of them get their own show on MTV, as well - charged with lesbian tension, obviously
