Claude was simply a servant. He remembered that every time the prince called him for something. The servant often had thoughts of confessing to his prince. But be knew he never could. (I'm feeling this au so, why not try it?)

Sebastian knew he showed favoritism towards that servant. Claude had gone from working in the far wings of the castle to working almost constantly at his side within his first week. But he couldn’t help it; sometimes it felt like Claude was the only sane one around here, the only one that actually heard and understood him. Between his constant lessons and meetings, the free seconds he did have were usually spent with Claude. He’d make the servant walk the gardens with him, or play chess, or sit in the library with him. He was sure half of the man’s job at this point was just hanging around him.
Today, Sebastian’s schedule was surprisingly open. So, as Claude was brushing his hair that morning, he said, “We should do something fun today.”
