I'm trans and a friend of mine sent me a post about "Emira and Edric are mirror/identical twins so they would've been assigned the same gender at birth so one of them is trans." And that got me thinking so as an Edric lover and a trans guy here's my Headcannons for Trans Edric.
When he was young he noticed things..he didn't like the girly things he was given, like dresses, or dolls, or whatever stupid 'Girl' Toy his parents got him. As he got older, he was around 7 when he realized that something was wrong..he wasn't wrong just his gender was, he of course told Emira and his younger sister Amity although she was a bit young to understand she did. Emira actually cut Edric's hair and their mother was furious with Emira but Edric couldn't be more happy and that made Emira happy.
Edric told his dad before his mom, his father was surprisingly accepting "Any new name? What do I call you now?" Edric smiles. "Edric. He/Him and I'm your son.." His father nods. "Okay, just know things will be very hard for you this way but knowing your siblings and you..you'll get by." They share a hug.
His mother however wasn't so nice, she yelled, she berated him for hours and kept yelling his birth name, that he'll forever be her daughter and of course Edric didn't sleep much that night..or the night after that. Of course she eventually came around, even if slightly she allowed him to start testosterone in the form of potions, it's very nasty to drink but hey it helps
Edric was nervous the whole day and Jerbo of course noticed, and he asked Edric what was going on. Of course Edric spilled everything and actual ended up crying, telling Jerbo he understood if he wanted to break up, not date him anymore or if he was angry for 'lying' to him about his gender. Jerbo breaks off his boyfriends rambling. "Edric it's okay..I don't care if you're trans..sure I'm a bit surprised but I still love you..I'm dating you for a reason." He kisses his cheek, "You'll always be Edric Blight to me. My loving boyfriend, that won't change." Edric hugs his boyfriend tight. "Thank you..I love you.." He smiles, "I love you too."
Remember, you're loved, you're valid and if anyone tells you otherwise it's okay to tell them to talk to the glyph, witch. Love you all ❤️
