I hc trans!Jesper being a little less dysphoric w/ himself when Alva/Mogens are around being all affectionate. It’s actually therapeutic for him to have them respect his boundaries but also shower him in love. Cue pub buddies cuddle sessions + Jesper being sandwiched in the middle w/ a mug of tea.

Affectionate Pub Buddies is legit.

Jesper feels very little dysphoria around Alva and Mogens, because they Will Not Fail to remind him how handsome/cuddly he is, and neither hold back on the physical affection. He also in turn reminds Them how great/amazing they are.

They respect his limits. Postman likes himself some public smootches, but other forms of PDA is rare. Mogens probs smacked his behind once and never did it again once he saw the look Jesper made. Alva would like to educate her students on trans issues - but wouldn't dare unless she had Jesper's input.

It's a relationship of equlibrium.

don’t know if you’ve ever seen the film ‘the danish girl’ but it is... stunning. a very bittersweet movie about a danish couple who undergo a strain in their marriage after one of them transitions into a woman. as a transgender man myself, i hope its not a stretch to kind of see the jesper in that scenario? him being the first to transition from female to male in his time? i have so many hcs for trans!jesper. hope i’m not projecting too much haha

Trans!Jesper is 100% my headcanon for him. I haven't seen "The Danish Girl" but I am a trans-dude myself and vibe with Jesper pretty hard.

He has major "I'm walking around my house with my shirt off and no one can stop me" energy. Though I feel that because of him being trans - he has never really trusted somebody enough to become intimate with them.

Papa Johanssen is 100% supportive, in a "Boys like the Military and the Postal system right?" Kind of way. This is also kinda the reason he let Jesper get away with so much at the Academy. The Drill Sergeant was pretty annoyed when Jesper got his own bunk and bath all to himself.

Once Jesper gets to Smeerensburg however I feel that he becomes "Whelp, how do I ask for menstrual supplies now? Guess I'll just die."

First person he tells us def Alva, since she's the only lady on the island who won't blab to anyone. Alva is... surprised but feels that she needs to protect Jesper - in case the Krums or Ellingboes use him being trans as a way of driving him off.

Klaus is told during a night run, Jesper was all nervous and almost freaking cried because he didn't know how Klaus would react. Only for Klaus to slowly pull the sled to a stop and pull Jesper into a big hug.

Mogens def finds out on accident once he tries to amp up the flirting. He finds out during a visit to the island's Hot Springs (ala Anime-tropes) only to find Jesper there. Mogens dosen't mind/care - Jesper is a hot ticket and Mogens apologises for some of his more off-colour teasing. Jesper is delighted and pretty much tackles Mogens into a hug before remembering that they're both naked.

ok i know misse the cat is a yule cat which is v cool but ALSO pls consider letting them have elements of a gräva aka a buttercat. they steal household items in an attempt to make their owners rich, which seems p fitting with jesper's origins as Spoilt Rich Kid tm. also like 'where are you getting all this butter misse? there isn't even that much butter in Smeerensburg. did you cross the sea to steal this?!' (also i love trans man jesper so much as a transmasc person he is an Icon)

Okay I just looked up what a Buttercat is, and I love the idea of Misse being a terrible butter-thief. Jesper doesn't understand where the cat is getting it either. He isn't even sure if anyone OWNS cows in Smeerensburg. Misse just walks in some mornings with a small wooden bowl of butter in their mouth and meows happily.

Jesper stops complaining when Misse starts to bring home caviar-heavy fish as well. Evidently the cat enjoys the finer things in life too. However, Misse for some reason gets upset when Jesper doesn't share his influx of butter and caviar with others.

Jesper does get a few scares when Misse tries bringing home the neighbor's jewellery, and has to preform a reverse-break-in to replace it. Misse is confused why their owner isn't more grateful for the wealth. Misse is a cat after all and has no concept of larceny.

Also I too love trans-man Jesper. I'm trans-masc myself I vibe pretty hard with him.
