As a genderfluid afab I’ve always felt like I’ve had to abandon femininity and the womanhood I am very much inclined to as I have experienced it being socialized as and perceived as a girl my whole life. And it’s made worse by the fact I came out young, which is a phenomenon a lot of younger transmasc afabs go through I feel. In which they feel they cannot acknowledge or accept the experience of womanhood and femininity they are actively experiencing (whether they want to or not). And then, for a lot of us, now we’re just at this standstill. We can’t be male, because we will only ever have experiences with women, and (at least for me) all irl queer spaces are dominated by lesbians and transfems or other transmasc who are in the exact same boat as you. And we can’t be female because we ‘chose to be this way’ and ‘we don’t wanna be a girl so why would we accept it’ and we ‘abandoned womanhood’ and the minute we do get comfortable with any sort of femininity BOOM get prepared to never get referred to as a boy or masc ever again!!!!
Idk if this is coherent but that’s been my issue recently.
