what do you think about people who play cis gender people as trans in rps
u mean playing cis face claims as trans charries ?? well, first of all, i’m one of them, so ig that answers your q lmao. truly tho, you’ll find tht opinions on this vary between the trans ppl in the rpc—and im specifically saying the trans ppl, not the rpc as a whole, bc guess what ?? if you’re cis, ur opinion on this literally does not count. you don’t get a say, period.
anyway, some peeps think that you should always use a trans fc to play a trans character and i can’t argue with that logic, bc it does help with visibility. but others, myself included, don’t see an issue as long as your face claim’s gender matches that of your character ( i.e. you’re using a cis male face claim for a trans male character / cis female fc for a trans female, etc. ). i’m just happy to see more well-developed and respectfully played trans characters in the rpc, regardless of if their fc is cis gender or not.
but yeah, basically, just listen to your trans peers ?? let us dictate what is and isn’t acceptable to do. i don’t want to see cis ppl policing this, bc honestly that does more harm than good.
