I dont know who needs to hear this but if you want to be a gender, you can just be it. Like, if you want to be a girl, that's enough for you to say you're a girl. Often there's the idea of "what if Im faking? I don't 'feel' non binary even though Id like to be, but if I don't feel like a non binary person then Im not one" and it's like. Yeah for some people they feel a certain gender. But you can also be a certain gender because you want to be it.
You don't need to despise your current gender for you to want to be a different gender. You can just be a guy if you want to be a guy. You can just be agender. You can just be a girlthing, or a maverique person, or an aboy, or anything you wish.
You wanting to be a gender is enough for you to call yourself that gender. There's no 'test' you need to pass. If you wish you were a girl, you can be a girl. You dont have to deny your previous gender either, you can be multigender. You can also change your mind. You can be a man who is a woman on wesnedays. You can be an enban who sometimes calls themselves a woman. You can experiment, anything you say about your gender is valid because it's your gender.
pls remember nonbinary people
i know people mean well when they post trans masc+fem solidarity, but when you leave out nonbinary people... your forgetting a very big part of the trans community. I understand we may not even cross your mind. I understand it's probably not purposely. I understand you have the best of intentions. But when nonbinary people are treated as less trans, struggle even more than binary trans people to get gender affirming care, and often have to fight to be even considered "real," it hurts even more when we're left out of positivity and solidarity posts. Remember, if you're about to post a trans positivity/solidarity post, have you included nonbinary people? (I say this with love)
Reasons I’m excited for top surgery besides for dysphoric reasons
Don’t have to sift through my laundry to separate the bras
Bras are freaking expensive
Can gaslit people into thinking I never had boobs in the first place
Can wear a button up shirt with the buttons open near the top of my chest to enter my slut era
Less layers in the summer when it’s hot
Weird people out by saying “when I used to have boobs”
Don’t have to worry if my bra color is visible through a light shirt
Get super cool scars
Can wear my show offy clothing cause have I mentioned my slut era?
Fitting into men’s clothing will be so much easier with a flat chest
After I shower, I can walk around with my chest out
Never have to try to put on a bra while wet again (if you have never done this it is hell)
I can say “help my boobs fell off?!!?”
