Yelp Is Now Helping Users Find Gender-Neutral Bathrooms

Users checking into a location will be able to note the presence of a gender-neutral bathroom, while business owners will be able to edit their own establishment’s page.

"In response to the recent public policy assault on LGBTQ community, and timed for our support of the Gavin Grimm Amicus Brief signed by more than 100 companies, we believe it’s important for the business community to speak up when our nation’s values are threatened," she explained.

"Yelp thrives on inclusion and acceptance, and it's always the right time to reaffirm this with our community," she added.

Me and my sister have kind of been using our mom's basement as a catch all storage space for a bunch of the things we haven't been able to bring ourselves to throw away. My sister has much more than me, but I do have a few holdovers.

The primary of which is the old PC I used to use and to be fair, I was still living at my moms when I upgraded and put the old one down in the storage room.

Well she finally decided that she's likely moving out of that house come summer, so she's pushing us to take our stuff. Rightfully so.

So here I am, 8 hours later, with a completely disassembled circa 2009 Gateway PC. I'd already taken what parts were usable for my 2014 custom build. So most of what's been recovered isn't really usable due to how the tech industry has progressed, but there are some exceptions.

I now have a CD/DVD drive which I promptly installed into my PC which up until this point only had a CD drive.

I also recovered a 1TB hard drive. The main reason I didn't pull this out back in '14 was because the HDD enclosure was obscured by the frame and I didn't have the motivation to bend the frame out of the way. No such qualms nowadays. In any case it will get its own enclosure before being reformatted and used as a media drive for my TV.

This entire process has been an odd level of catharsis. The old PC was my main source of escapism back when I was deep in the closet and denying that anything was wrong. It was also the PC I was using when I discovered what being transgender was and felt that resounding ache that I carried with me for 10 years before acting on.

I'm glad to be able to incorporate some of it's parts, however old and outdated, into my current build. Feels right.
