I’m actually afraid to try and tally my successful (accidental, and then, past the point I realized what was happening, sometimes intentional) curse-count. It may be that the mystifying damage I take is fallout from protecting myself and others, but I’d rather know I protected others and take harm than protect myself and take none.

I say tailor because I’m not sure how to express the entirety of the things you sew from scraps, but you do with quilts and clothing what I do with stories. Yeah, I wasn’t about to risk the plumbing conundrum, and seamstrex doesn’t work as well (unless you want to risk evoking StrexCorp from WTNV). I mean, it’s not awful, but it’s not precise or satisfying enough. English stole words for everything else, but not this.
