I think they did Bellamy dirty by having him die a disciple. Yes, he believed in something, but before that, he believed in his friends and the people he loved. That’s part of what made the scene where he said O wasn’t his responsibility so heartbreaking. He believed in people. And to have him die and not transcend? That just doesn’t sit right with me.
