In the deep darkness of Space, Arlo was floating in the dark, his eyes closed.
He shifted slightly and groaned as he slowly opened his eyes and he yelped as he sat up. Or attempted to, considering the place he was in.
His gaze scanned the darkness around him. "Hello?" He called out meekly, absentmindedly rubbing his torso, "anyone here?"
He nearly jumped when a voice called out from behind him. "Hello, Arlo."
He slowly turned to see the Transcendants' creator standing over him, gazing at him with an unreadable expression on her face.
The Celstian stared at the Creator with wide eyes. "...Arkeria...?" He squeaked.
Arkeria giggled softly, "I'm happy that I've caught you, little one. I couldn't let you go yet." She gently scooped Arlo up in her hand.
"Wh-what...?" Arlo stammered. Couldn't let him go yet? His stomach turned at the thought. The fact that he wasn't in the Celestial Threshold or the Astral Nexus was baffling to him but it was also a relief.
"Wait..." the Celstian gave Arkeria a confused look, "what do you mean you can't let me go yet?"
"I mean that you still have a purpose alive," she replied with a soft smile, "your Acolytes need you."
Arlo looked down and wrapped his arms around himself. "I... I don't know," he murmured, hesitation in his voice. He looked up at Arkeria, "there's no danger anymore." He paused. Was there any danger?
Aerkrkeria's expression shifted into a concerned, almost cold one. Arlo blinked. That was new.
"I would say that there is a danger," Arkeria replied, "and not only do the Protectors need your help, the fate of all worlds may rely on Ivan and you."
"But I'm a villain!" The Celstian protested, throwing his hands up.
"Even the hero and the villain can work together," Arkeria replied with a soft chuckle, "now... I believe your Acolytes await."
"W-wait—!" The Celstian exclaimed but Arkeria pressed her finger against his chest and a bright glow flashed before his eyes. On Darferix, it was raining. Lightning flashed. Far from Maleficent's castle, there was a small mound of dirt and flowers. The mound trembled before a hand popped out of from the dirt. Arlo pulled himself out of the mound, gasping and coughing.
He gagged and pressed his hand against his torso, shivering violently. He groaned softly as he pushed himself to his feet and he looked around. He could see the distant lights of Maleficent's castle and he bit his lip.
'I need to look for a Bridge,' he thought before he started running.

Let’s make October a month where the Transcendants come alive. 🌌
Ivan flew through the air before he landed on the boulder. There was a glowing diamond in the ground. There was a sun and moon in the center of it. Ivan stared at them before he knelt down and placed a hand on them.
"Kaleos, I am here," he said. There was a fwoosh and Ivan folded his phoenix wings against his back tightly as he stared up at the large god that stood before him.
Kaleos smiled, "so you have arrived, little prince."
"I... I..." the Irifloran closed his eyes tightly and took a deep breath to steel his nerves, "I have. Arlo said that... I had to talk to you."
"Yes," Kaleos replied, "and I have been waiting for you and your friends to arrive. Tell me, Ivan Black of Iriflora, have you learned the truth of who and what you are? And what your journey has led you to?"
"Yes," the Irifloran said hesitantly, "but... why did you create me if I was going to be the last Irifloran?"
"I will admit, creating a Transcendant that is inevitably bound to become the last of their kind is lonely," Kaleos replied, "but... that kind of inevitable comeuppance is not only natural... it is also wondrous."
She waved her hand and ghosts of humans appeared around the two, "I told Ezra that the Transcendants are the embodiment of Earth's god. And that was never a lie. You all represent him in a way where you represent yourselves. You are self-loving and self-loathing human beings that I have enjoyed watching over. You are my pride and joy. My stars. But you and your fifteen friends are my Suns and Moons. Your journeys are far from over. In fact... they have only just begun."
Ivan blinked in surprise before he frowned, "...I don't understand."
"Pay attention, little Irifloran," Kaleos remarked. Infinite threads appeared all around them. They were beautiful. "This will be your only chance to learn your way forward," Kaleos chuckled, "as you know, I made everything. From the Solar System's planets to the very planets you know of now. Creation was a joyous thing. I've spent years carving canals, breathing life into the worlds and filling them with oddities and memories. In time, my visions grew too distant. And I split so many worlds. In doing so, I revitalized my vision, collaborated, and sang in the dreams of those who worshiped me. But then the prayers and flattery went to the Ascendants and Descendants of my womb. I've tired of them receiving dreams and blessings. They were young and foolish. Even now, most of them still are."
Ivan widened his eyes, "you... are you saying that you want me to kill them!?"
Kaleos gazed down at him in silence, her eight eyes glowing brighter.
Ivan felt a chill run down his spine and he felt his heart jump. "B-but... I can't! I can't kill your own... children!"
"But you must," Kaleos insisted, "I need them to return back to my womb. Once you receive my blessing, they will die because of it."
"Y-your blessing...?" Ivan whimpered.
"Yes," Kaleos nodded, "for you see... there is a reason Arlo and Xenith brought you and the others Universal Protectors to me."
***
Xenith stood in front of a glowing purple cave. They were holding a small dark brown chest with a black glowing star carved in the top. Arlo walked up beside them and he looked at the box, "are you ready?"
"...yes," the Fenstran sighed, "but... are you absolutely sure that the Universe is asking this of us?"
"Like I said, who are we to question her words?" Arlo questioned with a weak smile. The two started walking away from the cave.
***
"Looks like we're here?" Shiloh said as he, Thomas and Kaitlin walked up to an edge of a cliff. They were standing by a glowing blue waterfall. There were stars cascading from the water.
Thomas whistled, "come and check it out, guys!"
Kaitlin chuckled as she and Shiloh walked up beside the Mazerunian. He wrapped his arms around his friends' shoulders. "See that? That's the edge of this damn world," he smiled.
"We see it, Tommy," Shiloh chuckled.
"What do you see when you look into the void of this planet, Thomas?" Kaitlin asked curiously.
Thomas hummed before he smiled. "Pretty relaxed, honestly," he answered.
Shiloh regarded him with a perplexed look, almost like he couldn't believe what he had just heard, "when you gaze into the void, you feel relaxed?"
The Mazerunian laughed, "I mean, yeah? It's scary but if I'd been here a few years ago, I would've probably pissed myself. But y'know, it's pretty quiet. I like that. I like being here with you guys. You're my best friends. My siblings, honestly."
"Aww, Tommy..." Shiloh cooed. Kaitlin sniffled and she wiped her eyes.
Thomas smiled and he nuzzled them both. Then his cheetah ear twitched. He looked over his shoulder to see Arlo and Xenith walking towards them.
Shiloh and Kaitlin looked at them.
Thomas narrowed his eyes, "what are you two doing here?"
"And how did you find us?" Shiloh asked.
"It wasn't hard," Xenith replied. They raised their hand and golden flames suddenly wrapped around the three, tying them up but it didn't burn them.
"H-hey!" Thomas shouted in surprise. Arlo opened the small chest.
"What is that!?" Kaitlin demanded, her eyes widening. Arlo didn't answer as he picked up a vial of glowing red liquid.
"This is something that the Universe told me to do," he started, "rest assured, this won't kill the planet; but it will make the Dark Matter serpents below go... wild."
"What!?" Shiloh gasped, his wide eyes flashing red with anger and shock, "you're going to get us all killed!"
"No," Arlo replied, "I'm not." He poured the liquid into the water. Kaitlin watched as the red liquid mixed up with the blue crystalline stream and washed down the waterfall.
The Star Wyrm was sitting on a rock and it looked over at the Dark Star serpents who had been drinking from the water. Then they started violently twitching.
The Star Wyrm hid behind another rock.
***
Kaleos looked up, "ah. It begins." She looked at Ivan, "are you prepared for the death of my children, Ivan? Are you and your friends prepared for my blessing?"
"I-..." Ivan started then he swallowed. He could hear his heart pounding in his ears. This was happening too fast. There were so many questions that he needed to ask Kaleos. What were to happen if Starmaker and the others died?
Why were Ivan and the others chosen to have Kaleos's blessing?
And why was the Irifloran so scared?
"Ivan," Kaleos said, making the boy look back at her, "will you and your friends be able to become the Atlas of your worlds? The ones who will truly have my Blessing?"
Ivan bit his lip... then he nodded. "We will," he said, opening his phoenix wings.
"Good," Kaleos smiled.
***
Natalia, Demetrius, Charlotte, Marley, Brenda, Osiris, Eric and Anastasia walked up the stairs.
Natalia's fox ear twitched, "do you hear that?"
The ground was rumbling slightly. Osiris looked over and he jumped back into Marley when the Star Wyrm dashed past them.
"What the-...?"
The others slowly looked over and their eyes widened in fear as the rumbling got louder.
***
Paige, Gregory and Harry looked around. Gregory looked at the sky and he felt a chill run down his spine. He looked at Paige and Harry, "something's wrong."
The ground shook and the three spun around.
***
"Are you out of your mind?!" Thomas shouted at Arlo, "you'll get us all killed!"
"None of you are dying, moron," Arlo snapped back, "this is what the Universe expects of me. She told me to do this."
"Like we'll believe that bullshit!" Shiloh spat. The ground rumbled and cracked. Kaitlin widened her eyes as a shriek reverberated through the air.
"I'm not stupid enough to disobey her," Arlo replied coldly. He wrapped his arms around Xenith and the two disappeared into the shadows.
The flames disappeared and Kaitin dropped to her knees.
"W-we need to run. Now," Thomas said, his voice shaking. He grabbed Shiloh and Kaitlin's arms and they started running.
***
"Demetrius! We're going the wrong way!" Brenda panted as they ran down another path.
"Th-the exit is somewhere near! I know it!" The Dolrionian exclaimed, his eyes wide with fear. He ran over to a cave wall and slammed into it.
"No... nononono!" He shouted. Natalia gripped his shoulders and Osiris looked over to see Dark Matter serpents stalking towards them, growling.
***
Gregory, Paige and Harry ran down a path. They could hear screeching behind them. Paige's heart pounded in her chest. Where were the others?! Were were they safe?!
Harry shouted as a Dark Matter serpent tackled him hard.
"NO!" Gregory shouted. Paige widened her eyes in horror.
***
Ivan held his hands up. He gritted his teeth as he felt an overwhelming surge of power rushing through his body.
Joanna widened her eyes as she watched from below. She whirled around and a Dark Matter Serpent snarled at her.
***
"C-can't... h-hold on..." Ivan murmured, shutting his eyes tightly. He could feel his nose start to bleed.
"You can do this," Kaleos's voice echoed in his mind.
As Ivan's eyes snapped shut, his body began to tremble. The air around him vibrated with anticipation. A brilliant, solar-gold light burst forth from his closed eyelids, illuminating the darkening landscape.
Magic swirled around Ivan like a maelstrom, responding to Kaleos's blessing. The ground hummed, and the skies darkened further, as if reality itself was bending to accommodate the transformation.
Ivan's heart pounded, his pulse racing with the influx of power. His body began to shift, his limbs lengthening, his senses expanding. His skin glowed with an soft, ethereal light.
When Ivan opened his eyes, they blazed like two miniature suns, radiating golden light. The intensity of his gaze illuminated the surrounding darkness.
***
Natalia laid on the ground then her eyes glowed like two miniature moons.
A Dark Matter Serpent whipped its head around as she and the others began to stand, their bones popping and cracking. They gasped softly, their mouths glowing the colors of the very sun and moon themselves.
Another Dark Matter serpent snarled and charged at them.
Demetrius looked at it with burning black eyes, "too slow."
His blackish-brown claws glistened as he swiped them across the serpent's head, slicing it from its body.
In a flash, Natalia was bouncing on the walls, her claws glowing white. "Hi," she smiled, her eyes blazing an amber color, "bye." She leapt at the first Dark Matter serpent and swiped her claws across its throat, splattering black star-filled blood across the walls.
"I want the big ones," Charlotte said gleefully, her golden eyes shining brightly.
"Same here," Marley chuckled, her deep blue eyes burning with an inner fire.
"Go ahead," Osiris replied, deep golden eyes shining brightly.
***
Bodies of dead Dark Matter serpents lay strewn about on the ground.
"Hey... Thomas, Shiloh?" Kaitlin said.
"Yeah?" Shiloh replied, a manic grin on his face, his eyes glowing a dark green color and his claws soaked with black blood.
"I feel good," the Irilian smiled, her eyes ocean blue and shining brightly.
Thomas chuckled, flexing his claws. "So do I."
***
Paige stood up slowly, her eyes burning a bright golden color. "Boys," she said, tilting her head.
Gregory lifted his head up, smiling as his eyes blazed golden. Harry looked up and his eyes were blazing green.
"How would you like to tear apart some more Dark Matter serpents?" The Evaran asked with a twisted grin.
"We would love nothing more," Harry smiled.
The three charged at the Dark Matter serpents.
***
Joanna breathed heavily as she stood over a dead Dark Matter serpent, black blood dripping from her claws. Frost flickered out the corners of her mouth and her eyes were blazing white.
She looked up at the sky, "Ivan?"
***
Ivan floated in the air, his nose bleeding. His phoenix wings were opened. He slowly opened his eyes.
Joanna jumped up and she wrapped her arms around him. He rested his head on her chest, "Jo...?"
"I've got you, my brother," she murmured, "I've got you."
The Whisperian looked up and there was a soft hum. Stars swirled around the two. She and Ivan shut their eyes tightly as energy surged through them.
"Come to me, my Blessed Ones," a familiar voice called out.
Joanna and Ivan's eyes glowed brightly. Natalia, Demetrius, Charlotte, Marley, Brenda, Osiris, Eric, Anastasia lifted their heads, black blood dripping from their teeth and claws. They broke into a run.
Paige, Gregory and Harry lifted their heads and started climbing the stone walls. Thomas, Shiloh and Kaitlin leapt through the air. Ivan and Joanna looked towards their friends.
The ground trembled and there was a bright flash of light.
The Nightmare flew through the star-filled darkness of the sky.
In one of the cells, Paige laid on the floor.
She groaned as she slowly opened her eyes and she heard the door open. Marcellus walked into the room.
"Hello, princess," he greeted, his voice sickeningly polite.
She managed to lift her head up and she hissed at him. Why couldn't she move?
"I have to commend Aurelia," the Dosyrian chuckled, "those binding spells are most efficient."
"B-binding spell?" Paige stammered, off-guard.
"Look down," Marcellus replied. When the Evaran did that, her eyes widened at the sight of a large glowing red and white circle that, well, circled around her. There were Transcendant symbols inside the lines.
Paige stared at it, shocked.
"Speechless, Solanith?" Marcellus asked, "witch, necromancer, mage, warlock and magician Transcendants use the symbols of our language to create spells. Especially binding spells. It was known as dark magic to witches and mages. And they used it. You used it."
Paige looked at him, startled before her lips curled back slightly, "you're lying!"
Marcellus tilted his head slightly, his smile widening. "Am I?" He asked, "you already know about Past Lives. And you were the Wolf Mage after all."
Paige stared at him. Her shoulders shook and she clenched her fists tightly. She gritted her teeth, a low growl rising in her throat. She glared up at Marcellus.
"Then what was your Past Life?" She spat.
Marcellus's smile slipped for a moment before he chuckled. The sclera of his eyes turned dark red and his pupils and irises glowed bright crimson. "I will show you," he said before he lunged forward, hand outstretched.
He gripped Paige's forehead and she froze, her eyes widening. She didn't know what was going on. The room around her disappeared into a canvas of colors, and she felt herself falling.
Marcellus was nowhere to be seen but for some reason, somehow, she still felt his hand pressing against her forehead.
Wind slammed against her whole body and she shut her eyes tightly, bracing herself for the impact... but it never came.
She landed on her feet and her eyes flipped open to see that she was in a ballroom. She gasped softly in surprise, "what...?"
She turned to see a crowd of people around her. Some dancing, some talking.
She looked herself over, startled. "What... what is this?" She murmured. She looked at a nearby mirror and she froze.
She wasn't a teenager anymore. She was older, perhaps in her thirties. There was a single scar on the left side of her cheek that was similar to Keith's scar.
But that didn't hold her attention nearly as much as the dress she was wearing.
It was a purple and black lace strapless dress that was fit for a wedding. A bit gothic, but it also had ruffles.
Her hair was long and wavy and her Cosmic Markings shimmered along her skin.
"Where am I?" She whispered.
"This is a ball held in honor of a battle you won, prinkipissa," a familiar voice spoke up and she whirled around to see Marcellus striding up to her.
He was in his thirties and his hair was long—reaching down to the small of his back. He wore a black sequin 2-piece tuxedo suit. The sequin was gold and shaped like a tree with its branches, both big and small, spread out on the right side of the suit.
He held a gloved hand out to her, smiling, "now... will the Queen of Scorchwood do me the pleasure of dancing with me?"
Paige stared at him, unnerved. She slowly placed her hand in his and she grunted softly as he pulled her forward and the two began to waltz together until they were in the center of the ballroom.
Paige glanced at the crowd. They were all staring and smiling. She didn't know why it unnerved her.
"Don't be so nervous," Marcellus chuckled, "after all, these are your faithful subjects. Almost everyone from every planet, near and far, has come to this celebration."
Paige looked at him then her gaze switched to his gloved hand. "...you said that I won a battle... what was it? Where did it take place?"
"Curious, aren't you, Wolf Mage?" Marcellus chuckled, "shall we make another deal in order for you to know the answers?"
Paige glared up at him, frowning deeply. The Dosyrian stared at her for a moment before he chuckled.
"Your glare is as fierce as the sun's flames," he said, "it was the battle against the inhabitants of Cholmurn—also known as the Crimson Deep. A faraway planet that was nothing but sentient oceans and the Transcendants who lived there were sirens and mermaids and other aquatic, anthropomorphic creatures who despised you with a passion. They threatened your kingdom, so you went to battle. And alongside the other Protectors, you had allies who would fight gods for you. There were no fatal casualties in the battle, but you got a scar and you won the battle."
Paige looked away for a moment, frowning.
"Speechless again, my queen?" Marcellus teased.
Before she could answer, he spun her around, startling her and she grunted softly as her back gently collided with his chest.
She looked up at him, "and you?"
The Dosyrian chuckled softly, his grip on her waist tightening slightly.
Paige felt a chill run down her spine as Marcellus's eyes glowed bright red and wisps of black and red magic swirled around them both.
"I was the Dark King of the Shadow Knights and the Equinox Legion," he said darkly, "and you were my mistress."
Paige widened her eyes and before she could say anything, he leaned down and kissed her. Her eyes widened even more and red streams of magic engulfed them.
Ezra stared up at the sun as it reflected in his eyes. Yellow and white light filled his vision and it was almost like he was in a trance.
"Sweet child of the very Stardust I spat out from my tongue," the Universe said, her voice echoing around the Lophalan, "I have seen you, just like Paige Kendrick. Just like Marcellus Kramer... and just like Kanan Jonas. I have seen the power you hold in your soul and your heart. And just like the rest of the Transcendantal creations, you are also beautiful and abhorrent. You are anomalies... aberrants..." she reached out and wrapped a hand around Ezra's waist, surprising him.
"You live, you die, you hate and you love tremendously," she continued, "you are all the rare embodiment of my first Creation. The God that the Earthians are fond of. And for that, I am so thankful to behold you."
"You were born from the mold of my Shooting Stars," she murmured, "so therefore, I give you a tool. The tool that will breathe Stardust into your lungs once again. This is not just a gift; it is an inheritance."
A glowing white liquid-like orb slowly fell into Ezra's hands. He stared at it with mesmerizing clarity before he tilted his head back and pressed the orb against his lips. He felt it trickle down his throat and fill his entire body with a terrifyingly familiar coldness.
"And once you accept this inheritance, Ezra Brewer," the Universe declared, "know yourself as the Beholder of my Shooting Stars."
"EZRA!" Stormy shouted, yanking him backwards. A drop of white liquid fell to the ground and Stormy widened his eyes.
"Shit... shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit," he muttered as he turned Ezra around so he would face him. His nose was bleeding, and yellow and white stars danced in his eyes and after a few tense minutes, the stars faded.
Ezra's eyes slowly turned to normal and he looked at Stormy. Tears formed in his eyes before he screamed.
In the Ashcrest Mountains, Paige sat by a creek, hugging her knees to her chest. Her wolf ears were flat against her head and her dragon wings were folded tightly against her back.
They almost started to ache a bit. She slowly closed her eyes and exhaled softly.
Slowly, she fell asleep.
In the deepest depths of her mind, she slowly drifted through an endless void of blue and white.
She slowly landed on the back of something soft and rough at the same time. She groaned softly.
A harsh gust of wind blew against her and she snapped her eyes open before she whipped her head around to see the face of a large, monstrous wolf with rows of teeth and eleven glowing golden eyes that blazed brightly. There was a glowing golden eye over its sternum, two but small sharp eyes along the sides of its neck, a long, slit-pupil eye embedded near the tip of its tail and three eyes scattered across the upper membrane of its wings. At the center of its forehead was the third eye. Most of its body was covered in midnight black scales and large black dragon wings were folded up against its back. Its white underbelly fur shimmered like fresh snow.
Paige stared at it with wide eyes. No sound left her lips.
"Hello, Dark One," the wolf-dragon spoke with a soft giggle.
Paige slowly got onto her hands and knees and she stared at the wolf-dragon. "You're... you're Lunar Abomination?" She said nervously.
"The one and only," Lunar Abomination giggled. She got up and Paige yelped as she suddenly rolled down her backside and landed on her behind with a squeak.
Lunar Abomination circled around her, her several eyes scanning the little Transcendant before her.
Paige didn't move a muscle despite her trembling slightly.
Lunar Abomination hummed softly. Tilted her head left and right before she chuckled. She reached out and pushed Paige back with her massive paw.
Paige squeaked in surprise.
Lunar Abomination laughed and it made Paige jump. The laugh echoed around her.
"You are so adorable," Lunar Abomination giggled, "I can see why Poseidon seemed to like you so much."
Paige's shoulders slumped in surprise, "how... how do you know about Poseidon...?"
"I have access to your memories, Dark One," Lunar Abomination chuckled, flicking her tail, and Paige could've sworn she saw stardust literally fly from the fur. Though that didn't distract her from what Lunar Abomination had just said.
"My memories?" The Evaran frowned, "those are private."
Lunar Abomination cocked a furry brow, "you should know that I am a part of you. Like the other Eldritch monsters and your siblings-in-arms, I am an extension of your very existence." She leaned forward, her third eye glowing brighter and her seven eyes glinting the dim light of the void.
Paige leaned back slightly, feeling the hairs on the back of her neck stand. A whimper rose in her throat as she stared at the many eyes that peered into her very soul.
"I carry all that you are," Lunar Abomination said, "your anxiety, your love, your need to be loved. I am the embodiment of why you fight and who you are when no one is watching. Just like Infernal Behemoth is with Gregory."
Paige narrowed her eyes, "h-how... how do you know about that?"
Lunar Abomination moved back with a soft sigh, "come now, my dear, you think we don't talk to each other?"
Paige's eyes widened at that and Lunar Abomination chuckled.
Her tail brushed against Paige, eliciting a startled squeak and the Dual-Blooded girl spat out a few strands of fur that had somehow ended up on her tongue.
"You are not the only Protectors that Primordia has chosen," Lunar Abomination chuckled, "there are four more."
"What? What do you mean!?" Paige said, her eyes widening at that. Suddenly, Lunar Abomination's massive form shimmered slightly and everything was beginning to fade.
Paige whipped her head around nervously before she looked at Lunar Abomination, "wait!"
"You will meet them, Dark One," Lunar Abomination's voice echoed, "and your bond will become stronger than ever."
The void shattered into brilliant light, and Paige's eyes snapped open. She shot upright, panting softly. She looked around before she looked at the bracelet on her left wrist—a silver bangle etched with tiny lunar phases, each marked with a pale gem. The bracelet glinted in the afternoon light.
She frowned before she got up. She transformed into her dragon form and she flew up into the air.
Paige, Marcus and Phillip stood outside of the nursery, all three of them fidgeting nervously as the sounds of muffled pained yells and hurried chatter met their ears.
Silverhowl, Nexusblaze, Wraithclaw and Eclipseroar stood by the three Transcendants.
Paige fidgeted with her royal necklace, her wolf tail wagging with anxiety.
Marcus looked at her and placed a hand on her shoulder. She looked at him.
"She'll be alright," he assured with a smile.
"Mom's strong," Phillip chimed in, "plus, Dad is with her."
Paige smiled softly at her two brothers and she nodded.
When her friends had gone back to their home planets, Paige had heard her mom yell in pain. And before she knew it, handmaidens and nursemaids were rushing to her and Christopher's bedroom.
Phillip looked at the doors as their mom's yells suddenly came to a stop. Marcus's breath hitched and his shoulders tensed.
Suddenly... there was a soft wailing sound. A baby's cry.
The door opened and a nursemaid looked at the three royals with a smile, "come in, young ones."
Marcus and Phillip looked at each other as Paige slowly walked forward and the three walked into the room.
The baby's cries were high-pitched and Paige could hear their hiccups and whines.
"Mom?" Phillip said softly, "Dad?"
Christopher smiled at them, tears of joy in his eyes. Latosha was holding a baby girl in her arms.
Paige's eyes widened.
The baby girl cooed and whimpered softly, curled up against her mother's chest. She had porcelain skin and her wet, brown hair clung to her skin.
"She's beautiful, isn't she?" Christopher chuckled, "come on now, you can come closer. It's okay."
Paige slowly inched forward and she gently rubbed the baby's cheek. The baby girl cooed again and she let out a soft sigh.
Marcus smiled happily, his wolf tail wagging.
The baby girl wiggled her nose before she let out a sneeze and her little wolf ears appeared. She cooed before she slowly opened her eyes and she looked at her siblings.
Phillip stared at her with astonishment. Her eyes were blue, like his.
"What's her name?" He asked softly.
Latosha and Christopher exchanged a glance before they smiled softly.
"Melody Heart McHenry," they answered simultaneously.
Paige smiled happily and she gently rubbed Melody's small hand. "Welcome to the family, Melody," she smiled.
Melody cooed softly, her little wolf ears twitching happily.
Osiris raised an eyebrow and he looked at Paige. His eyes widened slightly and his muscles tensed.
The Shadow Monster was standing by Paige, staring at him. Osiris gripped his shirt as his heart pounded in his ears.
Paige looked in his direction and for a fleeting moment, Osiris saw something... glitchy. It wasn't just Paige; it was a shadowy figure. Blood ran down the wound from the center of its forehead and there were scars on its chest. Tears rolled down its pure white eyes.
Osiris's breath caught in his throat and he felt tears form in his eyes as he stared at the ghost with a horrified expression.
"Osiris!?" Brenda's voice made him flinch and he looked at her. She and Eric had worried expressions on their faces. They all did.
"Are you okay?" Brenda asked worriedly.
Osiris sniffled and he wiped the tears away, "y-yes... I-I just... excuse me." He turned and hurried into the lower deck.
