SO my OC QUICKSILVER came into being from me basically imagining what Smokescreen looked and acted like based on minimal info and no images so he ended up being his own character as a result.
Turning into this glitch(wip):
SO FOR THE CHALLENGE
Give me the name of a character from a continuity I haven't consumed (Or with cases like TFA and RiD15 where they throw so many characters in your face I'll accept background and lesser known characters from them) , along with a rough description and I will draw how I imagine them to look and basically make a new OC out of it. Look below Readmore for more info and what continuities I've consumed.
Description Focus Ideas
You can give me as many or little of these descriptors as you want. Have a completely different description not listed? Feel free. The sky is the limit.
-LOOK
-PERSONALITY
-FIGHT STYLE
-VEHICLE TYPE
-KEY QUIRKS OR TRAITS
-MAJOR ACTIONS THEY’VE DONE
-Alt Mode
-WHATEVER OTHER INFO YOU FEEL IS MORE/ALSO RELEVANT
Try not to get too in depth detailed with descriptions. The more vague and fewer words the better! No pictures of the character! What info is relevant is up to you! Basically as much or as little you feel is necessary. For example, leaving out what side they are aligned with could make things interesting for me etc etc.
Transformers: Prime
Continuities I've consumed:
Transformers: Animated
Robots In Disguise 2015
Transformers Cyberverse
Transformers: Rescue Bots (I'm in early season 3)
Netflix Transformers: War for Cybertron (The first 3ish episodes. Idk. They found Ratchet and convinced him to come with them)
NOW HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT! Also if any of you are new Transformers fans like me and wanna try this too feel free! *Fingerguns away*
My collection: I didn’t get any pictures ready, but all you need to know is that the majority of my collection is various incarnations of Optimus Prime. I have other characters and media, too, like Megatron, Devastator, the High Moon games, and some IDW comics, but I have so many Primes that my mom put them all up on display in my room like a shrine.
And that’s it for the Transformers Challenge! I don’t know if I want to do another 30-day challenge, a few shorter challenges, or just take a break next month.
Favorite quote(s): Again, like the design prompt, there’s just too many to pick for this; still, I’ll give you a few to get a good idea:
-”One shall stand, one shall fall” by Optimus Prime. Even if it’s shown up so many times to the point where it’s gotten a bit old, it really highlights Optimus’s determination to defeat the Decepticons.
-”DIE, Autobots!” by Megatron. Prior to the ‘86 movie. he had never been this relentless, so it was cool to finally see him break free from the limitations of TV guidelines.
-”Me Grimlock no bozo, me king!” by...take a wild guess. This one puts his stubbornness and desire to become stronger pretty much on a pedestal for all to hear.
-Any and all Furmanisms. They’re just so quotable (for all the wrong reasons).
Favorite theme song(s): The G1 theme and Transformers EVO
For such a famous theme song, I’m surprised (and a little sad) that Hasbro hasn’t used it all that much in recent years.
My second example comes from the Japanese broadcast of Transformers Animated:
Sure, the G1 remix for the American version was pretty good, but, like all of JAM Project’s other songs, this one is just so ridiculously hot-blooded, almost like it could fit into something like Gurren Lagann.
Favorite design(s): Oh, God, there’s just too many to count. Hasbro and Takara are just that good (most of the time). Still, here’s six to give you a good idea:
-Optimus Prime. His windowed chest, wheeled legs, and color palette all make him look so compact and appealing.
-Megatron. His more monochrome color scheme and larger emphasis on offensive capability truly make him the antithesis to Optimus.
-Soundwave. I mean, come on. He’s a walking cassette player, complete with cassette minions! That’s so stupid that it’s awesome.
-Shockwave: His cyclopean, mouthless head is an easy tell to his emotionless ideals.
-Grimlock: He’s kind of like a mix of Optimus and Megatron, at least in terms of color choice. His mouthplate can also add a bit of mystery to what he’s currently thinking or feeling.
-Ultra Magnus: To my knowledge, I can’t recall any other Transformer with such an unintentionally patriotic color scheme. The fact that he turns into a car carrier makes him a perfect compliment to the increasing Autobot army.
