So I am fully aware that Eugenesis is dark, and I know how Soundwave’s five-minute parenting arc ends. That said, my brain gave me the idea for a sitcom where Soundwave raises the eldritch horror Quintesson baby.

Because this is Marvel Soundwave, mind you. The one who’s known for having all the information and using it as blackmail. The one whose cassettes are disliked as much as he is, but the other Decepticons don’t mess with them because they’re scared of getting on Soundwave’s bad side. The one who likes to hear people screaming.

fucked up things about Eugenesis aside (I’m talking about you, fake “everyone was fine!” paragraph), it was just so sad reading about how Optimus viewed the 2012 Autobots. Imagine seeing how much these people you knew and loved now hunger for violence and battle and thinking that maybe it would be better if all of you ended up dying so the horrors of war would stop. Seeing this kind man have such thoughts hurt my heart.

Maybe it’s better that the real Optimus died back in 1987 so he wouldn’t see what became of the Autobots’ legacy
