The new characters of Wish 2: omari, khadija and sharun
Omari is the prince ans heroic 2nd lead working with asha to free his kingdom from his wicked princess cousin and her consort. Yeah i used some scrapped concepts but im still making it my own.
Is it weird that I’m buying books and toys I enjoyed in my childhood but no longer have?
(I had a bit of a traumatic childhood, and I’m trying to reconnect with the parts that once brought me comfort.)

No

If you're going to try to argue that IDW isn't/shouldn't be canon because you think it's poorly written, then by that logic you should be arguing that half of the Sonic games from the 2010s aren't canon. If you're going to try to argue IDW isn't canon (bad take btw) then you should at least use something more objective like lore inconsistencies and not "Shadow said something cringe once".
🦔‧₊˚✩彡
Nobody said the comic isn't canon because it's "poorly written." It isn't canon because it isn't written correctly as per the source material of the video games. The characters are not written the same way as they are written in the video games. The writing being bad (which it is) has nothing to do with that. The writing could hypothetically be good. It isn't, but it could be. And it would still be noncanon because it is depicting Steven Maurice The Hedgehog instead of SONIC the Hedgehog. The character in the video games is not the same character as the one being portrayed in the comic. That, along with many other reasons, is why it is not canon.
Also the 2010 games are well written so I don't even know what you're talking about. Just because you think they're juvenile doesn't make them poorly written. It's not what a story is about, it's how it's about it. The fact they contain material that you would rather they didn't does not make them poorly written, you are not judging them on their own merits you are judging them based on what they aren't.
You are responding to a strawman invented in your own imagination. And you are also illiterate. Your opinion is invalid.
Canon status is not a prize that a work wins for being well written enough. It simply means "does someone need to take this into consideration when putting together the lore and understanding the characters?"
Knuckles Chaotix didn't get decanonized because it sucks ass. It's because Iizuka reworked the Chaotix as characters in Heroes and therefore the backstory provided in the older game is no longer valid. You can play KC and enjoy it too, but what was introduced in that game should not be taken into consideration to understand where the characters come from.
Sonic 06 is still canon, despite its main events being erased from the timeline and having being considered until recently a disgrace to the franchise. It was canon enough to have a whole level in Generations, at least.
Archie was never canon regardless of its quality. Its premise is directly contradicted by the games, what with Eggman/Robotnik conquering a nation and Sonic and characters never appearing in the games, including royalty, forming a resistance. You can like it just fine, but it's not canon and it forms its own universe.
IDW is canon compliant. It's way less removed than other adaptations, mostly in the setting. But it started off as a split timeline from Forces, that introduced the concept of Eggman getting amnesia and then the Metal Virus, elements never once mentioned in the games, not even Frontiers, which is chock full of references to past canon. And this is not even getting into the logistic difficulties of what making IDW fully canon and integrated to the games would entail, chief of all making a (as of now) 80 issue-long comic required reading for newcomers, or forcing the comic to bend to the games' events like it happened to Archie.
Please, stop seeing "canon" as a badge of quality. It doesn't mean what you think it means. In fanfiction you can elect to ignore canon you don't like and incorporate non-canonical elements you like, but this has no place in serious series analysis.
Catherine Beadnell
Catherine is one of my favorite barbie movie leads, so after finding out she would have had a doll I decided to make one of my own. For my tale O chose a sculpt that looks similar to her design in the movie. Luckily I found a match in the brunette Future Leader Barbie.
They even have the same hair color ☺
Her dress is made out of one i had gotten from a generic brand with accents and corset made of fat quarter. I couldn't find the shade of pink i wanted. I glued bows to the neckline and added a ribbon. The sleeves cam be removed too if you want a summer look.
Here she is in Five Below clothes.
Nelia of Rosas
I have another sequel idea for wish where Asha has a granddaughter with magic powers. I used Meiker.io to get a rough idea of Nelia's appearance then sketched out some designs on paper and edited them on Ibis.
Nelia's a stern, diligent fairy in training who is eager to inherit the role from her grandma. However a jester (that Nelia was rude to earlier) accidentally frees Magnifico, who procreeds to plunge the kingdom into dakrness and traps Asha inside a mirror. Nelia has to find a way to free her grandma and save Rosas, learning compassion and patience along the way. She even falls in love with the current prince of Rosas (Amaya's nephew). Basically I wanted a princess who has to be the one to learn about kindness rather than the other way around.
The Sheep Detectives - Official Trailer
It’s a herder mystery, and everyone is a suspect. The Sheep Detectives arrives in theaters May 2026.
In this witty, new breed of mystery, George (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers.
Starring Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, with Hong Chau and Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Rhys Darby.

Biggest potential man in winx history
One issue I have with the reboot is are the basic magic winx are too complicated. It's especially bad with aisha like nothing tells me anything about her being the fairy of tides.
I made her skirt longer, like flowijg water, a wrap around top and strands of pearls to emulate raindrops. I added sleeves to go with the princess vibes, and silver gladiator sandals as a nod to her mer family's greek heritage. Oh yeah, she is explicity related to the mermaids this time around since the original show never confirmed if they are biological fanily or not. Thats also why I gave her fin like wings, with a pink gradient added to make the colors pop. Instead of line green I picked seafoam green because I know there are fans who do like her in blue and I'd like a happy medium while still keeping her distinct from Bloom.
As for her hair she has an updo that goes down her back. And light brown fringe. I even darkened her eye color to a black/brown because the bright green eyes look very off-putting to me.
Bring your doll to work day
A potential movie for my.oc disney princess line is a sequel to hercules where Hades tries to take over the world again by kidnapping persephone as a way to strongarm Demeter. Pain and panic grabs a rookie priestess instead who just so happens to share the same name as the goddess. Hades works around the screwup to train the mortal to becoming a god so he can pull a sneak and switch. However he finds a kindred spirit, as this persephone realizes she has an easier time expressing her negative emotionss in the underworld in a way she never could on Earth, and forms a bond with Hades. Essentially, I'm working around a case of incest in a way that keeps the theme of the og myth - WITHOUT demonizing Demeter - while still bringing the sense of charm the movie is known for. And shes black since if the muses are portrayed as black women, i dont see any harm in hades marrying one.
I chose white gold and green for my Persephone since a lot of modern adaptations tend to make her pink, including the Hercules version. I gave her blond hair to show that she shares some similarities to the real persephone. But other than that they're different people.
Since i cant celebrate Halloween at my parents house i dressed up one of my customs as Enchantix Bloom instead.
Besides the Telemachus movie i have another disney princess movie. Think Emperors New Groove meets Princess and the Pauper. It's set in East Africa and based on the fairytale Goose Girl. The 2 leads are Princess Amara and Zuri.
In this take on the Goose Girl, the servant is not the villain, the princess is! During a trip to visit her fiance, Amara gets the idea to swap places with Zuri in the hopes of getting out of a marriage. Just one day of fun! On the way back they are attacked by mysterious forces and get separated. Zuri is taken to the royal palace while Amara seeks refuge at a farm that belongs to Zuri's family. They shrug it off her claims of being the real princess as her being crazy and puts her to work managing a flock of geese.
Zuri struggles to get acquianted with the sudden luxuries. She sees this as an opportunity to change the system from the inside. She also meets Amara's fiance. At first, he seems cold and distant, but seeing Zuri-As-Amara isn't the spoiled brat he believed to be, he opens up to her and they fall in love. He also helps her navigaye court politics. Coupled with her kindness and generosity, life in the royal court begins to improve much to the dismay of Amara's evil aunt, Shani. A witch who plans on gaining immortality by kicking off a forever war.
Back with Amara, she meets a shepherd who is also zuri's childhood friend. He isn't amused by her antics but helps her anyways. He mentions to 'Zuri' that he might leave soon because the farm is in danger of closing, the money she sends just isnt enough to keep up. Hearing stories from the other villagers of the real Zuri's kindness Amara begins to realize just how much she took her life for granted. She decides to repay the favor by using her fashion savvy to make colorful clothes. It's so successful the family are invited to the wedding party.
Zuri discovers that Amara aunt plan on taking over the kingdom. Amara as Zuri arrives with Zuri's family and is warned of the plan. They work together to stop Shani, leading to a final battle involving Shani's powered up against a flock of geese (Zuri's family brought them as wedding gifts). In the commotion Zuri takes a blow meant for Amara and knocked unconscious. Shani is defeated and turned into a goose and flies away, never to be seen again. Thinking that zuri is dead Amara weeps over her body and admits to everything, realizing that her selfishness got her only true friend killed. Miraculously, her honesty brings Zuri back to life.
Once things settle dowm Amara and her former groom talk, he admits that he is hurt by her deception, he also acknowledges that he himself wasnt perfect. In a way the lie had helped them both grow as people...and as friends. They call off the engagement, leaving him and zuri free to marry. To make it up with Zuri's family, Amara offers to stay as their goose girl so their daughter can further her career. Zuri's family becomes so rich they retire and leave the farm to the shepherd. He takes Amara for his wife.
The movie ends with an elderly Amara, now a chieftess, recounting the story to the village children. She may have outlived her husband and friends, but not the lessons she learned.
I made tiana's blue dress
I should probably use a different ribbon but it turned out better than I expected
I'm also making a 85th anniversary Catwoman to go with Ivy and Harley. I'm taking cues from the 2004 movie. it's one of my guilty pleasures.
Happy National Princess Day 🐸 👑
Disney might not appreciate Tiana but I do!! She's my all time favorite disney princess.
Andromeda Shun a girl????? Seriously, Netflix????
So basically someone wears pink, is delicate, sensitive, and effeminate, is lowkey into guys, thus let’s make them a girl. That will be totally progressive. That will not be at all stereotypical. That will totally please liberal fans. Hell yea, trust me on that.
Like, for real. Having a guy who goes against pretty much all the social construction of masculinity AND be the most powerful knight IS FREAKING RAD. That he might even be mistaken for a girl, be extremely sweet and kind, and always hold himself back, not be your usual male badass, is a complete progressive take on what it means to be strong and to be a man. That he was an effeminate guy that was not treated as a joke for itself was already awesome. The last thing that was needed in this reboot was to take that away. Especially because he gets his butt saved by his brother a gazillion times, so that’s definitely going to fall into the damsel in distress trope.
I swear I would be ok with virtually any other character getting genderbent. Hell, genderbend Ikki, the badass ex-villain fire bender who saves everyone’s (especially his brother’s) butt every now and then. But gods, not Shun. No goddamn Shun.
I can’t believe I’m on the dudebro/bigoted fans side this time. Fuck you, Netflix.
They could have created a couple of new female Saints to add to the team, or had Charmeleon June join right from the very start. It’s interesting to see what the series could have been like had there been Female Saints in the main cast. But nope, let’s turn the effeminate guy in pink into another token female! We have so many female characters that wear pink, is the sensitive one that needs to be rescued in these superhero team type shows, so why do we need another one?
After years of thinking I really thing Ikki should've been a girl. Like the Token girl being the tough antihero with UNLIMITED POWAH and a edgy color scheme sounds a lot more fun. Though I can't help but put some of the blame on conservatism because to them, a boy being soft and a girl being a tomboy is too much for them.
