I have a new fanfic idea…

OK SO:

Set probably pre-tfp or just civil war (so no direct links to pre existing series’ or films etc), near the beginning, while the Autobots and Decepticons are on Cybertron still.

Optimus Prime has a lot to take care of and so he doesn’t usually interfere with the smaller teams ran by his commanders and stuff; including the Autobot scouts.

However, one of, if not *the*, best of the Autobot’s scout teams gets trapped by the Decepticons, with Megatron himself being present. Hearing this, Optimus races to intercept, fearing the worst for his comrades and teammates.

However, when he arrives at the coordinates (with both Jazz, Prowl and uhhhhhhhhh probably a medic or something…) he witnesses a grand stare down between Megatron and a small, very brave yellow scout, one optic leaking energon (Bumblebee, ofc)

Megatron’s own team (consisting offf Starscream? And Blitzwing prolly…) are just as confused and slightly amused at Bumblebee’s fearlessness, though they don’t really say anything.

Optimus manages to take the Decepticons off guard, following the instructions given to him by Prowl, his sic (second in command, at least I think he is…) and a battle plays out.

Bumblebee, the badass he is, comms Jazz and tells him that the other members of his scouting team were safe and he had managed to steer them clear of the Decepticons before they could find them all, obviously at the cost of him coming face to face with THE Megatron.

Jazz relays this information to Optimus (haven’t decided whether on not this is after the battle or if a battle between him and Megatron actually happens…) and Optimus takes it upon himself to personally thank the scout, both for his bravery and also for saving his comrades. Though he does also scold him for putting himself in danger and not calling for backup.

Ahem, and then they go back to base, blah blah blah idk what comes after…

A couple NOTES!!

-Here, Optimus hasn’t met Bumblebee before, and doesn’t realise how young he is until he actually interacts with him later on

-On that note, here, Bumblebee will be pretty young, I’m thinking around 13-15. I like child soldiers and I see him as a kid in some shows, okay, don’t rip my hair out (lmao)

-I don’t actually know a tonne about like, the characters? I watched g1 ages (I mean AGES) ago, so I don’t remember a lot from there AND I haven’t read any of the comics so they won’t help either. All I got is info from the mountain of other fics I’ve read, which helps, but is still less than ideal. IF ANYONE HAS INFORMATION FOR ME FOR CHARACTERS (Autobot, Decepticon, Neutral, WHATEVER) PLEASERRREEEE GIVE ME A WHOLE ASS LECTURE ABOUT THEM BECAUSE I REALLY NEED TO LEARN ABOUT THEM ARGHHH?!!?!

-If I do end up writing it, then it’s important to note that it’d probably be a none romance fic. Maybe Jazz x Prowl but I suck at writing romance (fellow aroace here) and I live for aroace Bumblebee too so uhhhh-

-I think that’s it… obviously I want to try new ideas and concepts because I wanna try and make an actually long fic, since my usual ones aren’t that long (or at least, I don’t plan on making my current ones super long, more or less)
