Pain is a ghost. He can feel how its presence has become a lingering shadow of the past, losing tangible power over him. Dangerous: pain is an honest warning. The Crow doesn't think much about it anymore, though.

This time, he simply sits perfectly still while the Doctor works. Silent and unflinching. The wound is deep, cleaving his back from shoulder to hip — vertebrae and nerves partially exposed under torn skin and muscles. Another would be dead or wishing to be so, incapable of anything but lying in utter agony, whereas his flesh is already healing. Treatment will speed up the process, ever-helpful when dealing with the inconvenience of his body suffering further damage. The world out there isn't gentle to the wounded, after all. To anyone.

People have confused him with some deranged hunter before; situations like this lead to easy error, painting a picture of unbridled madness. He wouldn't exactly deny it either. A gruesome reputation serves him well, in tandem with the Crow garb — both an omen of death and a vision of mercy. Equally ominous in these accursed lands.

There is something disturbing and deranged in the way he smiles, in the way he is looking at the Doctor. Visibly Tetsuya is tense and on edge, not because he's scared of him, no, no, that's not it. He's fighting back his instinctual urge to pounce, for the very moment he recognized who this was, all thoughts were gone, nothing but bloodshed in the brain now, something primitive bubbling without abandon amidst him. That stupid Fatui skirmisher didn't want to budge at first, but Tetsuya made him. One. little. piece of flesh at a time. First it was their ear, then the other, then the eye.... ohohoho he got them to sing like many bodies from years ago, it was that very same tune. The misery, the pain, and the anguish. A blade slashing through countless of blacksmiths, heads toppling upon the floor, electro frying many a people, tortured to the bone. "No." He replies to that familiar voice in his head, he needs to pay him back for what he's done to him! But most importantly his family! And the intent to do so is there, because suddenly he's no longer in the spot he'd been standing and is right before the one individual he's come to hate with all of his heart if he had one. Infused with anemo, wind circles his palm as Tetsuya aims for the very neck in an attempted decapitation. He does not want to talk, for once he does not want to run his fucking mouth, he wants this man's head in a silver platter first and then he'll fucking talk! He wasn't expecting a single move to seal the deal, though it pains him to admit it, the other is quite capable after all. Time holds no relevance in this encounter, the storm rages and wages along to their dancing that doesn't keep them in the same spot and all in due thanks to Tetsuya who launched himself at the Doctor and launched them both off a cliff, violently crashing into the soil, but no matter, no matter. He'll pick himself back up and he does, his head twisted to the opposite side, an arm loose, but he attaches it back properly and turns his head to its rightful spot and it is then that he feels the other stab right through him. It catches Tetsuya slightly by surprise, but his reaction time is quicker than his psyche, anemo surrounds his palm and he returns the favor in kind, stabbing right through Dottore until the green of the anemo blade is peeking out of his back. And he twists, oh how twists, his palm within him.

Tetsuya holds on to the Doctor's sleeve to prevent him from stepping away, keeping them both as they are, with blades through their chests, the deranged look in his eyes and his twisted smile back to light as he locks eyes with the other man, this plague on legs. "I'm going to make you fucking pay ahahaha!" Tetsuya hisses in laughter as if this is the funniest joke he's ever heard in his life. He's going to make him pay, he's going to make him pay! "I'm going to rip you apart piece by piece." That is not a threat... but a promise.
