What: The Changing Gears Transportation Expo
Where: Pearkes Recreation Centre, Tillicum Mall
When: Saturday March 22nd, 11:00 - 5:00
The BCSEA Victoria Chapter team has been working overtime for several months to organize the "Changing Gears Transportation Expo" We have reached out to many partners in the Greater Victoria area to work with us and are quite excited about how well it is coming together. Such a large project needs a lot of volunteers and we urge you to consider volunteering on and before the day of the event. Contact Lee Johnson asap if you can help us out. [email protected].
Here's what it's about:
A free fun filled afternoon. You will learn about modes of transportation that challenge you to re-think how you get around.
Listen with speakers and panel discussions on how cycling, transit, and electric vehicles can make our city more sustainable.
Participate in workshops about bicycle commuting and recreation, learn about bike safety and even get your bike fixed.
Test drive electric vehicles and find out how they are a real alternative for you.
Booths and exhibitors to engage you with products and organizations.
Get in the mood - tell us your story about walking, cycling, carpooling, taking transit or another way of traveling sustainably.
