People know it by the name of Secret Beach but it was not secret at all...😅... As you start your little hime from Mirissa towards the Secret Beach, you can find a lot of directions and boards towards the Secret Beach. It is a small 10 min hike to the beach and you can find a restaurant or two near the shore. When i reached the beach there were just two more tourists i could spot on the beach. The waves were high and it was a rocky shore. It is great to relax for an hour under the trees and also to get some nice pictures. I also found a boat which was placed on the rocks for photographs. You can also spot many small crabs 🦀 hiding near the rocks. . Over all it was a nice hike and a nice small beach too. At first they will ask why you are doing it..... Later they will ask how you did it..!!! . My journey in Sri Lanka is filled with adventures and good times. This beautiful country has so much to see. When i was visiting a small town in Sri Lanka, i went to see the Nine Arch bridge. Like most places i had to hike a little to get the best view of the bridge. I waited for around 45 min to the train to pass and get some nice shots. It was such a beautiful and unique experience for me. I enjoyed every bit of it. Since i have started my travel journey i have realised how my excitement has grown for things as it used to be when i was a kid. When ever i used to see something new i used to jump with excitement and enjoy my experience but with time it got lost somewhere. I TOOK THE ONE LESS TRAVELED BY... AND THAT HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE.... . This was first time i almost got lost while exploring new paths.. i tried the path no one used to opt for and had to hike almost 10 times more through thorns, bushes, grass, slippery sandy path and rocks. By the time I was almost convinced i was lost in the forest. I saw a drone flying high and that gave me hope, all i needed. All the fatigue, pain got lost in seconds and i started to climb towards the top of the mountain with energy and hope. As I reached the top i saw my destination on the other end and i was filled with joy. On this day I realised how important hope is. You can climb a mountain, go through obstacles, do anything that seems to be impossible just with hope. Though this picture might seem very nice but the cuts, bruises and pain made this actually possible. There isn’t a train I wouldn’t take.... no matter where’s its going..... . This was my best train journey so far.. It was sunsets that taught me that beauty sometimes only lasts for a couple of moments, and it was sunrises that showed me that all it takes is patience to experience it all over again..... . I had to wake up at 4:00am and start my hike for the Pidurangala rock at 4:45am. It was pitch dark and there was no one around in the forest to show me the way.... still I followed the marks and made my way to the top of the mountains... i had the company of a dog who hiked up to the rock with me and it gave me strength too.. to have someone by my side... as i reached the top i found 10-12 people already sitting on the corner of the rock and waiting for the sunset... i sat beside them and waited for the beautiful sun to rise.... i dont have words to express the beauty of that moment... i hope this picture gives you an insight of the amazing place... My GOAL is not to be better than anyone else.... But to be better than i used to BE.... . . After reaching Dambulla i climbed to see the Dambulla cave temple and on my way back saw the Golden Temple. It was not much of a climb but the views from above were mesmerising... The people around the place were very friendly and helpful and told me about the relevance and history of the temple... And it doesn’t take much time to visit both these temples... For me, i arrived at 4pm and was able to explore all the sites and even Golden Buddha temple by 6pm...
