Ferries were one of the first modes of transportation for New Yorkers long before bridges spanned the city's rivers and now ferries are back and better than ever. The ferry system is a fast, affordable and enjoyable alternative to subways and busses. The @nyc_ferry routes have expanded over the past years, with the addition of Bronx and Upper East Side last week! Ferries also have a bar, and an outdoor seating area to take in the view of the city as you sail under the Brooklyn Bridge or out to Rockaway Beach – it doesn't get much better than that!
