For many people, estrogen-based therapies are a very important part of their gender journey. Estrogen is a hormone we all naturally make, but different bodies make different amounts. No singular gender identity is required for estrogen-based gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT)! But most commonly it is prescribed to trans women, transfeminine, nonbinary, and intersex folks. ⠀ Not everyone chooses to use hormone therapy as part of their gender journey. If it’s right for you, Plume would love to be your trusted provider.

Choosing to use new pronouns can be a big step in a trans person’s life, as many of us were assigned pronouns at birth that weren’t quite right. For all you allies, respecting people’s pronouns is an easy and important way to care for your trans friends! To take it a step further, normalizing sharing and asking for people’s pronouns is an act of solidarity with trans and queer people. People with all sorts of pronouns can look all sorts of ways. Sharing yours shows that you understand that there are many genders and that assumptions based on outward appearances aren’t always accurate. It also signals that you care how others identify, and that you are a person who will create and hold space for others. We created these cute graphics for you to enjoy. Share them and let people know what your pronouns are! We’ll always get your pronouns right: getplume.co/get-started
