Yep that's right, I crossed the 500 mile milestone, exciting. There are two major fires that I have to navigate in between, the Alder Creek Fire and the Trail Creek Fire. No worries though, the forest service has a specific reroute on Forest service roads to navigate around the fires. I'm spending all day in Wise River to research and plan out the root as there are many different roads I will have to take in between trailheads. All is good and I am looking forward to the challenge.
