short answer: lol yikes

longer answer: if iron fist is going to be a well-developed, nuanced character i would MUCH rather have preferred to see the role go to an asian actor. color-blind casting only works if it uplifts marginalized populations, not when it’s used to bolster white supremacy

OMG!! Really?! That’s exciting!! I’m behind on the Marvel Netflix shows... I have only watched between the first one or three episodes of all Punisher, Jessica Jones season 2 and Luke Cage season 2 - I’ve just not been in the mood for the darkness, but I really need to catch up...

And it’s just so cool they are doing this connections :D

I’m pretty sure this will come back in the end with a Teddy vs Dolores final battle. You just know one of them is going to kill the other...

idk i think it’s gonna come down to Maeve vs. Dolores in the end. this episode really underscored their different ideologies when it comes to the humans. and how to deal with them. neither woman has any love lost for them but whilst Dolores is single-minded in her revenge and kills with abandon, Maeve is single-minded in her quest for her daughter and only kills when she needs to. 

also Maeve had the interaction with Felix last season that showed her that not all humans are bad. (lol hashtag NOT ALL HUMANS). 

Dolores has yet to have that kind of interaction with a human. look at her track record.........William, Logan and god knows who else. as far as she’s concerned they’re all guilty. 

but tbh i’ve been predicting a Magneto vs. Professor X type deal between Dolores and Maeve since s1. with Dolores being Magneto and Maeve being a version of Professor X. 

BUT ALSO!!!! i completely expect Teddy to break with Dolores at some point during this season but i just don’t see him actually going up against her.

Except all the times they have. Women can write interesting men, and men can write interesting women as long as they are actually good writers.

Women can absolutely write interesting men, that’s indisputable. However men only write fairy tale versions of women they wanna sleep with. It’s been proven that men are bound by the laws of nature to only think with their penises. I mean these are just facts.

1000th Follower

I’m sorry I have been so inactive as of late, but I’m working on preparing for the GRE, and also doing my honors thesis. But I’m will you all in spirit!

Anyway, what I wanted to say was the other day I finally got my 1000th follower! Never in a million years did I think so many people would be interested in seeing what I post.

But I’ve made some nice connections on here, and I genuinely care about you all, even if we’ve never talked. I’m always here if anyone wants to talk, I’d love to hear more about you guys, and build more friendships and connections!
