At this point, it's starting to look like Trapdoor kun is a restorationist. I don't know I mean it could be Armin, but Paradise needs allies and clearly they aren't above doing what they know is wrong. I am just saying, it's possible. I would be surprised if it was Armin who grew stumble lol.

Actually @julystorms just reminded me in a reply that Pieck specifically called out the guard for their facial hair.

Since Connie is clean shaven now and in Shiganshina, that might be evidence that she realizes the facial hair is fake.

I hope you have a nice holiday season! // I did have something to think about: Chapter 100 got me thinking... could Pieck be referring to Jean when she says she feels like he's seen the soldier before? Considering their brief meeting when they got Reiner back...

Hi shy anon :) Yay, I’m glad you also love Jean and happy holidays to you too! ^^ I think it’s totally a possibility that the soldier she recognizes is Jean, although he could also be Connie–I’ve seen both theories floated around! It seems likely he’s someone from Paradis though, and someone we’ve seen before, considering how much build-up there’s been around him :)

Regardless, I really hope we see Jean soon! I miss him. Here, have a quality Jean face :D

If the rope guy really is Connie then he grew like 2 feet

I’m all for conspiracy theories involving the SC hiding in Marley but yeah... if that’s Connie that would be one remarkable transformation.

For a quick reference, I put together this chart. Looking at the SC characters, Pieck is canonically the same height as Connie and Jean is 1cm taller than Porco. So you get a rough idea. Comparing the two images, Trapdoor-kun would need to be as tall or taller than Bert.

I would love for Trapdoor-kun to be Connie, but a 34 cm (13″) growth spurt between the ages of 16 and 19 is a little hard to believe.

I am very, very curious as to who Trapdoor-kun is. It's not Connie, Jean, Sasha, Mikasa, Levi, or Eren, which leaves Hanji and Armin. Looking at the panels where Trapdoor-kun is shown, I don't believe he resembles either; his eyes and face are too rounded for Hanji, and the lack of a button nose, in my opinion, immediately rules out Armin. Do you think it's someone we haven't seen yet, or do you have another theory?

The only characters Pieck got a look at were Connie, Jean, Hange and Armin--and Armin was not only rotisseried but at least partially obscured by Eren. 

In the last panel it sort of looks like Armin but all the others seemed to favor Connie. Armin’s gotten a significant number of votes in the poll. I selected “I have no idea“ like the majority because it’s the truth.

Since we know Trapdoor-kun isn't Connie or Jean, do you think it is safe to say that it is indeed Armin?

Since Pieck never saw Armin in an un-rotisseried state I don’t see that being an option, but who knows. Maybe we can add this to the poll.

Welcome back to Tumblr! My first thoughts about Trapdoor-kun was that he was Armin as opposed to Connie. I haven't really seen much about that possibility... your thoughts?

My friend, you’re in the minority but you aren’t alone. So far in the poll, 41 people (5%) believe Armin is Trapdoor-kun while 55 people think it’s Jean. I will kindly ignore that giant chunk of blue dominating the chart :)

I want Trapdoor-kun to be Connie for reasons of ... well, everything, but I’ve seen much screaming in the tags that it’s Armin. The following is small but passionate. One evidence they use is that becoming the CT triggered a massive growth spurt.
