When Daeron hugged Fox from behind, the mage didn’t even look up. Daeron’s personality was so loud that he didn’t need to speak to make his presence known, which meant that Fox knew who it was ahead of time. His hands were full of a squirming, muddy kitten.

“A little bird told me,” Daeron said, “that your tent is too cold for your precious, Tevinter sensibilities.”

With gentle movements, Fox carefully cleaned the poor kitten’s eyes, gummed up by infection. His voice was distracted when he said, “Your little bird is well-informed, but I advise you not to start a game you don’t plan on finishing.”

“Oh, there will be finishing. You’re a mage. There will be a lot of finishing.”

Fox raised his eyebrows and lowered the kitten even as he looked over his shoulder. “…Oh?”

“Oh yes.”

Meet Kah’zu stupid Lavellan, father of Daeron.

Same face, same eyes, same nose, same smile. As you can see Kah’zu’s got curly hair. That’s why Daeron doesn’t let his hair get wet or it curls lol.

By the way, Kah’zu is the Artist (with a big a) of the Lavellan clan, a weird man who draws vallaslins, trees and birds. He’s always doing stupid things like… playing kazoo to be friend with bears, I mean wtf man. Fun fact he is also the first hunter, it’s not a joke, he’s got a sharp hearing and he’s kind of the best in archery.
