In our search to visit a less crowded place to spend New Year's Eve, we discovered a village called Trasi. It is a small fisherman's village located around 50 kms north of Udupi right on the coast. This place is not commercialised. So you will get to see only handful of tourists even during new year vacations. A perfect place to be. ✨ Highlight of the trip was definitely dolphin watching. If you can wake up early, go to beach and hire a boat for dolphin tour. Best dolphin watching experience in India. I tried it in many places like Goa, pondicherry. Never seen so many and so close. ✨ Now the let down part, we stayed in a resort called juSTa Turtlebay on Sea. We excused the steep price as we booked it last minute and holiday season is difficult to get any accommodation in reasonable price. The location is right on the beach. Loved spending whole day in beach. But the room doesn't look clean as the pictures in the website. Food was pathetic. The mandatory gala dinner on New Year's Eve costed 2000 pp was total rip off. There were quite a few items to choose from in the menu, but the best dish of the gala dinner Lays Potato Chips. So you can imagine how much we enjoyed the dinner 😂 ✨ I would suggest search for homestays nearby. The place is absolutely must visit. . . . . 📸 @ghorui.tarun . . . #mytravellingstilettos #trasi (at Trasi Beach) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDjIFcuHMp3/?igshid=13cyx2u39wp7v
