Early voting in #Austin through tomorrow and then election day on May 1st. Lots of important props but Prop B stands out - an effort by some in our community to de facto criminalize homelessness by banning camping on public property. While we all can agree that the tent cities that have popped up all around the city are a terrible solution and have created a bad situation for everyone, without an all out effort to address the varied and complex issues around this problem before banning camping is basically criminalizing the most vulnerable in our society for existing. And that is bullshit. I drive around town and see 2 and 3 million homes going up everywhere, fucking millionaire and billionaire celebrities rolling into town like it's their own personal playground. This contrast is shameful and this fucking prop is just a kick in the balls. It's easy to dehumanize the people in these camps, but these are children and siblings and parents. And for all the so-called Christians out there who have "Support Prop B" signs on your lawn, well Fuck You. And that goes for you especially @governorabbott - stop shooting your mouth off on Twitter and sit down with all the other city and state officials concerned and do your fucking jobs. #vote #votenoonpropb #austin #atx #texas #traviscounty #ANGRYCLOUD (at Dittmar Rec Center) https://www.instagram.com/p/COI1ZaYlXjp/?igshid=8dxq6tmzc69x
