The other day I got introduced to the wonders of Betty Davis via Travis Keller’s Instagram and have been playing nothing since. - - So I want to take a moment and thank the whole Buddyhead crew for two decades of turning me on to the best music on the planet. When I was 14 there was no real place I could find good music or even be pointed to good music. I wanted Black Flag and Bad Brains and the people I knew were all about MxPx. Music magazines and television were filled with Numetal and Britney Spears. - - Then I found Buddyhead. Thanks to Aaron North I picked up The Stooges. Thanks to Joe Cardamone I picked up Born Against. Thanks to Travis I found Spiritualized, Funkadelic, Le Tigre, KARP, and The Jesus Lizard. So I’m always gonna love my Buddyhead tattoo - it’s a tribute to the people who acted as my musical big brothers and steered me towards the good shit when I didn’t have anyone to play that role in my life.
