Sally Face headcanons

TW: fucked up stuff. Murder, self harm, drugs, suicide

Ash is a total badass. She has thick reddish hair that use to frame her face like a fire that you can just see off in the distance. She wears lots of spikes and leather when she’s especially pissed off. She happens to love deep purples and reds and her absolute favorite thing is a nice pair of ripped skinny jeans. She loves metal and rock music and the high she gets at wild concerts. When she’s upset she usually storms out and takes off on her bike, she’ll be gone anywhere from an hour to, her longest time, 2 days. She says she never cries, no one’s ever seen it, but secretly after a really hard day she finds a nice place to curl up, a hiding spot, in her bed or closet, sinking into the bubbles of a hot bath, or leaning against the wall of an ice cold shower, and lets everything out. She secretly battles depression and self hate. 

Todd loves classical music and everything to do with classic literature, unless it’s Shakespeare, for some reason Todd finds the dramatic plays annoying. He loves his curly red hair that sticks in every direction, particularly because of his boyfriend. His favorite thing in the world is laying down in his boyfriend’s lap and letting him run his fingers through his hair. Todd has never battled anything like depression and doesn’t quite understand it. He isn’t the best with emotions and feelings so he’s not the greatest to vent to, but he tries to be as supportive of the others as he can. He only truly understands the pain and suffering a depressed person goes through when Larry kills himself. 

Sally grows his hair out as some sort of tribute to his mom after her death. (This next part i got from a theory on instagram) Sally’s mask is only partly prosthetic. Seeing as prosthetics are usually only given for the worst parts of the face and made to match the persons skin to be as real as possible. This could also prove sally has a glass eye. He was so insecure about the rest of his face that he cut up a mask to cover the rest of his face and taped them together so his entire face was covered. (I like that so its included. If i find the @ ill share) Sally is a big self harmer and has always struggled with depression and suicidal tendencies, it only got worse after the death of his mom. Sal is trans. Maybe people will disagree with me but I personally believe that Sal is a trans guy who changed his name to Sal to feel masculine, but the unaccepting friends in jersey began calling him a girly name to torment him. Sal, being unable to make new friends and already having dealt with so much, learned to own the name so i t wouldn’t be as hurtful, telling himself it was still a masculine name. He completely adores the name when Larry and the others begin to call him it, and all the bad connections to it fall away. Sally is found by the police sitting at the doorway of the apartments picking out one of Larry’s favorite songs on his modified guitar to calm himself, he just murdered everyone he cared about. Sally had never been more suicidal, and guilty than showing up to his dad’s apartment and hearing him tell him how proud he is and then having to plunge a knife into him. Sal was very close to ending that night for fear he had nothing left to live for, but he knew ash was still alive and couldn’t handle a loss like that.

Larry knew that Chug and Soda didn’t need to be murdered but was unable to tell Sally that they weren’t infected because he couldn’t get back to him. Larry was so pissed when Sal murdered his mom all he could imagine was getting his hands on his best friend. But as time went on the anger flickered and faded away into a dull understanding of why he had to do what he did, and eventually forgiveness. Larry, trapped in the tree house that was once his dad’s, hates his decision to have killed himself. He thought it would be an escape from all the unbearable pain but actually he’s trapped, alone, for eternity in a house that reminds him of the father that abandoned him years before. The guilt Larry felt after abandoning Sal by killing himself was so overwhelming that he could barely see to text him. Larry was the one that patched up and bandaged Sal’s self harm. Every time. He’d kiss each cut after they healed up a bit and pull him close and mumble about it getting better. Sal comes home and each day his collection of razors gets smaller and smaller as Larry takes them all and gets rid of them. Larry has a box full of old songs he’d written under his dresser. He had a huge notebook full of them and several songs in the making, when his father left he ripped them all out and shoved them away. He vowed to never write a song again, but when Sal came into his life he started again. Larry picks a lot fights at school and takes every opportunity he can to get into a fight, the high and the pain distract him momentarily. Larry is big gay. He abuses lots of drugs, nicotine, caffeine, adrenaline, weed, Xanax being some of his favorites.
