They went from emotionally distant strangers to overprotective parents by the end of the main series.

Acid Tokyo Parenting Styles

Fai is the type of parent that has a hard time letting go/letting the kids learn from their struggles and mistakes. He always wants to quickly take the pain away/save them instead of letting them learn.   

While Kurogane is the type of parent to let them learn from their struggles/mistakes and makes them learn the hard way. He will intervene if needed. 

(What makes this funnier, is that when I showed my Mom this arc of the manga, she was totally on Fai’s side, while my Dad was on Kurogane’s side of the argument. They were really thinking like parents in this arc lol)

I love that Fai still does not come out of Mama bear mode for a good five minutes after Syaoran told his parents not to attack the ghost girl.

He is just there in the background looking like he is about to kill her at any moment if she makes a wrong move. 

(Well I mean he was in a very protective mood so it probably was just hard to stop that feeling so quickly. lol Its still cute.)

Hey did any of you notice Mommy!Fai being low-key protective of Syaoran in this scene from TWC: Nirai Kanai??  

When they first met Kujaku, Fai suddenly puts on a fake/threatening smile and a protective hand on Syaoran’s shoulder!!

Its just so cute~ ;w;

I was making a TRC MEP part and I didn't realize how worried Kuro looked in the scene from the Acid Tokyo OVA when Sakura comes back..It was so sweet.  His reaction was animated so fast, that I missed how intense his expressions were.

( I was always mostly focused on Fai's expression that I didn't notice Kurogane's...)

Just wow..the feels..
