I miss Treasure Keepers

Do you guys remember Treasure Keepers?? I thought that game was fun and the lore was interesting; I wish it had lasted longer. I feel if it came back as an app it would be pretty sucessful! I mean, they have all these assets and artwork that still hold up, and I feel there was so much more planned in terms of story progression and ahh such wasted potential. I love this artstyle so much.

I remember that this was from an unfinished comic for the now-defunct Treasure Keepers Facebook game, having to do with my shop “The Scruffy Kougra.”

All I remember about this comic was that (only) Michelle was in an intentionally noir kind of style and would’ve been in stark contrast to the style in my other comic (which still delights me to this day!)

That is, yes, the whole comic would’ve been bright and happy, then in comes Michelle all b&w and serious... gosh, I really wish I could remember where this was going! =p

I don't care what anyone else says - Neopets is good at designing anthro animals.

I saw that people were asking about Treasure Keepers.  Treasure Keepers was a facebook-neopets app. 

Basically you picked a character (female cybunny or male kougra) and you had to run a shop. The main 'game' portion of it was going on quests by playing levels that looked like a board game (much like key quest). You collected coins and items. The game integrated Neopets TCG as well! All the chance squares, boosts, and enemies were in the form of cards.

It was fun and wicked cute. Unfortunately Meteor Games (the company that Donna and Adam were part of) went under and the game did not pan out. :/

TNT, I just want to say that I enjoyed Treasure Keepers so much and I wish I'd started playing much sooner. I don't suppose we can hope that TK will come back one day, even in another form? Anyway, I loved being able to organize and arrange my shop and merchandise, but I especially loved having my little Babaa following me around! Thanks again for TK! NTK was built for Facebook, so there's no way to move it to Neopets.com directly without, essentially, rebuilding the entire back-end. This, as you can imagine, would be quite a project. So, at the moment, no, there are no plans to bring it back as it existed. We agree with a lot of players, however, that Meteor Games did a fantastic job with the game's production value -- items, characters, illustrations, music, design, etc. The game had a wonderful look and feel, so we're in the process of going through and archiving all those assets to maybe use in a future project if we can. No promises! We have no real plans at the moment; we're preparing for the future, just in case. ;)

I really did love that game. Hope we can eventually do something with the assets.
