This is a toy collecting public service announcement:

For some ding-dang reason I can't fathom, the Treasure X Treasure Chest is $9.67 right now.

That is a stupid good deal.

I've been on a recent "treasure/unboxing toy" kick. My toy collecting love is more about the 'experience of toy' than any given property or character (those are separate, sometimes overlapping obsessions).

Collector stuff is cool and all, but I like fun. And some amazing toy experiences are, at this time, being delivered by the likes of Zuru and Moose Toys, it's just all buried in slime, foam, and plaster.

This one is a sizable (about 10 inches wide) plastic treasure chest containing a brick of plaster you're supposed to chip away slowly but I recommend just dropping in a bucket of water to dissolve overnight. You get a bunch of treasure pieces, mini-figs, armor bits for the dragon, and oh yeah, a dragon.

When you solve the treasure chest's puzzle the top opens and the dragon is inside, standing on a hoard of gold in a diorama/playset. It's sweet.

Anyhow, if you want a plastic treasure chest to put figure bits in, this one exists and is cheap. Plus who doesn't love a dragon and some vaguely voxel-y little adventurers?

I haven't been paid to post this, even if it sounds like an ad. If you want to see me rant about something else like this, only at length and probably with pictures, you can tip me in stuff I want to ramble about/make 3d parts for.

I watched the first few minutes of Ahsoka, and she just opened a treasure X to find the map from the treasure planet. I already like this show.
