Sam knew something was up when you didn't greet him at the door when he got back. With the hurricane coming and his subathon on the horizon, the man wanted to be as prepared as he could be. Yet you were a crucial part of all of that, and you were seemingly nowhere to be found.

Bounding up the stairs after putting all his last minute groceries away, Sam knocked on the door to your shared bedroom quietly. "Baby?" he called, poking his head in. You were curled up in bed, sad eyes looking to the doorway. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"Just kinda having a bad day," you mumbled, pulling the blankets up further on your face. "Sorry, I know you're starting the subathon tomorrow."

Now there were very few things that genuinely upset Sam in this world. He was a pretty easy-going guy after all. But you being sad in any way, shape, or form, was one of the things that hurt your Southern boy to the core.

Without even thinking, Sam slipped into the room, quietly shutting the door behind him. He approached your bedside...and promptly laid himself across your hip. His full weight sunk into you, causing you to wheeze slightly.

"S-Sam!" you giggled, wiggling to try and see his face. "What the heck are you doing babe?"

"Sadness is not allowed here!" Sam shouted, not at all angrily. "I cannot condone it!" He looked at you abruptly, making you laugh even harder. Hearing your laughter lightened his heart, knowing he'd made even the slightest difference in your day.

Sam got up then, worming his way over you and under the covers with you. "C'mere," he urged, pulling you close. He nuzzled you aggressively, messing up your hair just the slightest. "We're gonna watch a movie, and you're gonna feel better."

Now, any normal person may have been vastly weirded out by Sam's antics, but this was the kind of thing you've come to expect from this absolute mad lad. You chuckled softly and shook your head, snuggling into your streamer's side. You honestly had the worst time paying attention to the movie that he had picked out.

Softly hands played with your hair, lulling you further into comfort. The man could have easily been considered your personal heater with how warm he was. And the rain that started outside was slowly becoming a soft lullaby, easing you towards sleep more and more with each passing minute.

As the credits began to role, Sam took the time to check in on you. Your eyes were closed, breathing even against his chest. A fond smile found him as he gently kissed your head. It was then however that the man realized how trapped he was, being squished between you and the wall.

Welp, so much for a night time routine.
