Over a year ago I edited the “Behind the episodes” clip for the famous tree walk storyline in episode 5.01 “The Crowening” by inserting a snippet of a Tom Cruise Movie (yes, there is a reason for it). Now I rewatched an interview Noah did for Google Talks in 2020 and decided to make an “extended version” of that tree walk video, also adding a short bts video taken by Dustin Milligan.

I’ve been working on this since last nights (this morning’s?) episode ended. It’s now 8:00 am. Why am I the way that I am? xD

The ending bit just MADE ME WANT TO DRAW IT, and the way Matt described how Vilya (I think that’s how it’s spelt? I’m tired man) going through the portal in the midst of one of Keyleth’s speeches.

This is also my first true animation (if you don’t count animating eyes blinking) that’s more than 2 or 3 seconds long. 

Edit: Aha, I got like, 2 hours of sleep and ended up coming back to touch it up a little. I may be done with it for now, though I don’t know myself. I’ll probably try and come back to paint it later if I get the muse to actually finish it.
